Skill two: Goal setting goals should be clear, practical and realistic big goals should be broken into smaller
incremental goals goals supported by a concrete plan of action once you set your goals, follow through goals must be continually re-assessed

prioritize by importancemake an all inclusive “to do” listkeep “things” organized regularly re-examine your priorities

Manage Your Time
Time management is critical – Keep a log of your daily routine Determine optimal times for study Be sure to include time to eat, sleep and
exercise – and to have fun Use your time wisely and effectively – may
need outside analysis to assist you Plan ahead

Develop a Timeline
Success requires planning – and a timeline can identify what you need to do and when
[“A failure to plan is a plan for failure”] Academic timeline – courses needed Career timeline – skills and experiences
which are needed; deadlines Personal timeline – what do you want to
accomplish or experience during college and/or before professional school

Extracurricular Activities
Choosing which activities to do and when to do them are very important
Better to do fewer than more activities Important to be invested in the activities
