You are so lucky to see “Enma-Daiou*”!

15th and 16th Jul are the special occasions to see “Enma-Daiou” in Shousenji Temple, which usually cannot be seen. His appearance is scary and his height is 180cm. It is said that visiting and praying to “Enma-Daiou” will forgive your daily sins and is effective for all kinds of diseases, especially on throat troubles, such as asthma and tonsil problems.

Bon festival, the period of four days from 13th to 16th Aug, is an important event for the Japanese. During this time, the spirits of the dead are believed to come back to their family. Lanterns are lit and Bon dances are performed to welcome them. You can taste the atmosphere of Japan from this unique dance.
