RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Methods of Data Collection
Data collection is an elaborate process in which the researcher makes a
planned search for a ll relevant data and is t he foundation of all researches.
It is the raw material with which a researcher functions. The task of data
collection begins after a research problem has been dened and research
plan is ch alked out. While deciding about the method of data co llection to be
used for the study the researcher should keep in mind two types of data viz.,
primary data and secondary data.
Sources of Data
A. Secondary data:
Secondary data is the data already collected by others for purposes other
than solution of the problem at hand. In case of Secondary d ata the nature

of data collection work is merely that of compilation. Secondary data has
several supplementary u ses.

• Company Records.
• Service Reports.
• Annual Report.
• Company Brochure.
• Company Library.

stratied simple random sampling was the method of Data Collection.
SAMPLE DESIGN
“A sample design is a denite plan for obtaining a sample from a given
population. It refers to the technique or the procedure the resear cher would
adopt in selecting item for t he sa mple”
Generally Sample designs ar e two types

2. NON PROBABILITY RESEARCH DESIGN
We used the probability research design.
SAMPLING UNITS
Filling The sample is selected in a random way, irrespective of them being
investor o r n ot or ava iling the s ervices or n ot. It was c ollected through mails
and personal visits to the known persons, by formal and informal talks a nd
through up the questionnaire prepared.
SIZE OF SAMPLE
“This refers to the number of items to be selected from the universe to
constitute a sample”
The sample size in this project
LIMITATIONS ARE AS FOLLOWS-
• Data collected is b ased on questionnaire.
• The number of employees in Angel Broking is more, so sample size is
limited.
• The information collected by the observation method is very limi
• The result would be varying according to the individuals as well as
time.
