TAA1 Action Plan Assessment Case StudySharon – new Teacher of Business

The following are Comments on Strengths and Weaknesses are from her TAA1 observation.

Sharon is a well organised and efficient new teacher.

She has been teaching for 3 months with no previous part-time teaching experience.

The students she deals with are culturally and linguistically diverse

Sharon’s classes are teacher-centred. She asks very few questions throughout her lessons. The teaching aids she uses are the overhead projector and

the whiteboard. Sharon has said she doesn’t like hand outs because they

take too much time to prepare and the students don’t really read them.

Accreditation

A Statement of Completion will be issued following your attendance at a workshop and completing the associated activities.

Your accreditation as a TAA Advisor / Assessor extends to 5 years from completion of the mandatory training.
