Day 01: Arrival Haridwar; drive to Rishikesh

(356 m / 1168 ft; 25 kms; 30 mins)

Upon arrival in Haridwar, drive to Rishikesh. Check into a hotel.

Overnight at a hotel.

Day 02: Haridwar / Rishikesh to Gangotri via Uttarkashi

(3140 m / 10299 ft; 250 kms; 9 - 10 hrs)

 After breakfast we depart for Gangotri via Uttarkashi. Our base for this

trek is a small, clean hotel in Gangotri. Gangotri is a tiny settlement with

a beautiful temple of Ganga.

Day 03: Acclimatization day at Gangotri

Our stay and long walks in Gangotri will help us to acclimatize for thehigher heights of Tapovan!

Day 04: Gangotri to Chidbasa 

(3792 m / 12438 ft; 9 km; 4 hrs)

The trek begins. Carrying just our essentials in a backpack, a leisurely 

 walk of 9 km gets us to our first tented camp by the waters of Bhagirathi,

amongst trees of birch, at Chidbasa. Overnight camping.

Day 05: Chidbasa to Bhojbhasa 

(3993 m / 13100 ft; 5 km; 2 hrs)

 After breakfast we wind up camp and proceed to

Day 06: Bhojbhasa – Tapovan

(4463 m / 14639 ft; 6 hrs)

 We start our trek to Tapovan. On reaching Gaumukh we start our climb

to Tapovan crossing the Gangotri glacier. After a good trek of two hours

 we hit the alpine meadow of Tapovan (4463m / 14639ft) .Overnight

camping

Day 07: Tapovan to Nandavan

(4500 m / 14760 ft; 5 to 6 hrs)

 After breakfast we start our trek to Nandanvan (450

Day 09: Nandanvan to Bhojbasa 

(5 hrs)

Trek back from Nandanvan to Bhojbasa. Overnight camping.

Day 10: Bhojbasa to Gangotri

(5 to 6 hrs)

Trek down to Gangotri. Overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 10: Gangotri – Rishikesh

(8 to 9 hrs)

Drive back to Rishikesh. Overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 11: Drive to Haridwar. Final Departure.

Post breakfast, transfer to Haridwar to board the train for Delhi.
