granted the EFFE label of quality by the European Commission
The theme of this years 47 Gathering of Children of Europe Joy of Europe rks the
160111 anniversary of the birth of Nlkola Tesla famous scientist and inventor in the field of
physics electrical engineerins and radio technology The inventions of this visionary 0 Serbian
origin greatly contributed the transmission of high-voltage allernating currents to a great istance
making electricity available for a larger number ofpeople and enabling its efficient distrib tion He
was one of the key people responsible for the construction of the Niagara falls hydroele
plant He discovered the t9rque magnetic field and the international community named th unit of
measurement oftbe strength of the magnetic field Tesla He was also a very interesting pc on and
there are many interesting anecdotes fiom his childhood and life
Our idea is that our guests who will perform at the Gala concert answer to this given t erne of
Nikola Tesla and in order to make it more accessible to the group leaders and the per rming
children we are inclosing a more detai1~ explanation of this theme Besides Nikola Tesla we also
aim to promote science knowledge and his dedication to humane and visionary ideas

Those who have the right to participate at the Joy of Europe festival are art schools
centers studios clubs associations but first and foremost groups that have achieved good r
national and international competitions festivals etc
The participants can present their art in form of dance (classical traditional jazz or cant
dance) music (vocaJ group or choir) as well as multimedia performance
Each country can only be represented by one gloup of performers and in order to
quality selection we would kindly ask yon to recommend us two oJ if at aU possibJ
groups of potential parti~pBnts from your country
Basic program units of this manifestation are
1 CARNIVAL - formal parade ofparticipants in costumes through the town centre
2 FRIENDSHIP GATHERING CONCERTS - concerts at the hall of ChildrenS
Centre in Belgrade (live performance no longer than 15 minutes music can also be
live)
3 GALA CONCERT- in Sava Centre (each group perfonns an act no longer than 3 min
every vocal and instrumental part of the performance has to be recorded in a studio - full
is compulsory)

Nikola TesJa (1856-1943) is one of the most famous scientists and inventors in he field of pbysics electrical engineering and radio technology This visionary of Serbian gin spent the most of his life working and creating in the United States His inventions and discoveries greatly contributed the transmission of high-voltage alternating currents to gre t distance making electricity available for a larger number of people and enabling its efficient istribution He was one of the key people responsible for the consbuction of the Niagara falls h droelectric power plant He discovered the torque magnetic field and the intematiopal communi named the unit of measurement of the strength ofthe magnetic field Tesla

The theme of this years 47 Gathering of Children of Europe Joy of Europe rks the
160111 anniversary of the birth of Nlkola Tesla famous scientist and inventor in the field of
physics electrical engineerins and radio technology The inventions of this visionary 0 Serbian
origin greatly contributed the transmission of high-voltage allernating currents to a great istance
making electricity available for a larger number ofpeople and enabling its efficient distrib tion He

Our idea is that our guests who will perform at the Gala concert answer to this given t erne of
Nikola Tesla and in order to make it more accessible to the group leaders and the per rming
children we are inclosing a more detai1~ explanation of this theme Besides Nikola Tesla we also
aim to promote science knowledge and his dedication to humane and visionary ideas

Each country can only be represented by one gloup of performers and in order to

The theme of this years 47 Gathering of Children of Europe Joy of Europe rks the
160111 anniversary of the birth of Nlkola Tesla famous scientist and inventor in the field of
physics electrical engineerins and radio technology The inventions of this visionary 0 Serbian
origin greatly contributed the transmission of high-voltage allernating currents to a great istance
making electricity available for a larger number ofpeople and enabling its efficient distrib tion He
was one of the key people responsible for the construction of the Niagara falls hydroele
plant He discovered the t9rque magnetic field and the international community named th unit of
measurement oftbe strength of the magnetic field Tesla He was also a very interesting pc on and
there are many interesting anecdotes fiom his childhood and life
Our idea is that our guests who will perform at the Gala concert answer to this given t erne of
Nikola Tesla and in order to make it more accessible to the group leaders and the per rming
children we are inclosing a more detai1~ explanation of this theme Besides Nikola Tesla we also
aim to promote science knowledge and his dedication to humane and visionary ideas

The theme of this years 47 Gathering of Children of Europe Joy of Europe rks the
160111 anniversary of the birth of Nlkola Tesla famous scientist and inventor in the field of
physics electrical engineerins and radio technology The inventions of this visionary 0 Serbian
origin greatly contributed the transmission of high-voltage allernating currents to a great istance
making electricity available for a larger number ofpeople and enabling its efficient distrib tion He
was one of the key people responsible for the construction of the Niagara falls hydroele
plant He discovered the t9rque magnetic field and the international community named th unit of
measurement oftbe strength of the magnetic field Tesla He was also a very interesting pc on and
there are many interesting anecdotes fiom his childhood and life
Our idea is that our guests who will perform at the Gala concert answer to this given t erne of
Nikola Tesla and in order to make it more accessible to the group leaders and the per rming
children we are inclosing a more detai1~ explanation of this theme Besides Nikola Tesla we also
aim to promote science knowledge and his dedication to humane and visionary ideas

granted the EFFE label of quality by the European Commission
The theme of this years 47 Gathering of Children of Europe Joy of Europe rks the
160111 anniversary of the birth of Nlkola Tesla famous scientist and inventor in the field of
physics electrical engineerins and radio technology The inventions of this visionary 0 Serbian
origin greatly contributed the transmission of high-voltage allernating currents to a great istance
making electricity available for a larger number ofpeople and enabling its efficient distrib tion He
was one of the key people responsible for the construction of the Niagara falls hydroele
plant He discovered the t9rque magnetic field and the international community named th unit of
measurement oftbe strength of the magnetic field Tesla He was also a very interesting pc on and
there are many interesting anecdotes fiom his childhood and life
Our idea is that our guests who will perform at the Gala concert answer to this given t erne of
Nikola Tesla and in order to make it more accessible to the group leaders and the per rming

The theme of this years 47 Gathering of Children of Europe Joy of Europe rks the
160111 anniversary of the birth of Nlkola Tesla famous scientist and inventor in the field of
physics electrical engineerins and radio technology The inventions of this visionary 0 Serbian
origin greatly contributed the transmission of high-voltage allernating currents to a great istance
making electricity available for a larger number ofpeople and enabling its efficient distrib tion He
was one of the key people responsible for the construction of the Niagara falls hydroele
plant He discovered the t9rque magnetic field and the international community named th unit of
measurement oftbe strength of the magnetic field Tesla He was also a very interesting pc on and
there are many interesting anecdotes fiom his childhood and life
Our idea is that our guests who will perform at the Gala concert answer to this given t erne of
Nikola Tesla and in order to make it more accessible to the group leaders and the per rming
children we are inclosing a more detai1~ explanation of this theme Besides Nikola Tesla we also
aim to promote science knowledge and his dedication to humane and visionary ideas

The theme of this years 47 Gathering of Children of Europe Joy of Europe rks the
160111 anniversary of the birth of Nlkola Tesla famous scientist and inventor in the field of
physics electrical engineerins and radio technology The inventions of this visionary 0 Serbian
origin greatly contributed the transmission of high-voltage allernating currents to a great istance
making electricity available for a larger number ofpeople and enabling its efficient distrib tion He
was one of the key people responsible for the construction of the Niagara falls hydroele
plant He discovered the t9rque magnetic field and the international community named th unit of
measurement oftbe strength of the magnetic field Tesla He was also a very interesting pc on and
there are many interesting anecdotes fiom his childhood and life
Our idea is that our guests who will perform at the Gala concert answer to this given t erne of
Nikola Tesla and in order to make it more accessible to the group leaders and the per rming
children we are inclosing a more detai1~ explanation of this theme Besides Nikola Tesla we also
aim to promote science knowledge and his dedication to humane and visionary ideas
