Te Aroa Haami Haereiti Whanau Charitable Trust Tangihanga Grant 1. O bjective The objectives of the Tangihanga Portfolio shall be; I. To provide assistance and financial support to bereaved beneficiaries. II. To ensure that beneficiary support is provided in a sensitive and compassionate manner. 2. Application approval A Tangihanga application can be made via telephone, kanohi ki te kanohi, text or email. Approval will occur only if: I. The deceased is of Te Aroa Haami Haereiti descent. II. The Te Aroa Whanau Trustee responsible for the Tangihanga portfolio gives approval. III. The Te Aroa Haami Haereiti Trust budget allows. 3. Financial Assistance I. Upon approval from responsible trustee, nominated representative of the bereaved whanau will provide an account number for payment of grant. (Do we state the amount and how that amount will be determined) II. An account is available at Te Kuiti New World for the use of Tangihanga only. Upon approval of use of the shop account from responsible trustee, a trustee will meet with nominated representative of the bereaved whanau to confirm approval with New World management the use of the account.

bjective

The objectives of the Tangihanga Portfolio shall be;

I. To provide assistance and financial support to bereaved beneficiaries.II. To ensure that beneficiary support is provided in a sensitive and compassionate

manner.

2. Application approval

A Tangihanga application can be made via telephone, kanohi ki te kanohi, text or email.

Approval will occur only if:

I. The deceased is of Te Aroa Haami Haereiti descent.II. The Te Aroa Whanau Trustee responsible for the Tangihanga portfolio gives

approval.III. The Te Aroa Haami Haereiti Trust budget allows.

3. Financial Assistance

I. Upon approval from responsible trustee, nominated representative of the bereaved whanau will provide an account number for payment of grant. (Do we state the amount and how that amount will be determined)

II. An account is available at Te Kuiti New World for the use of Tangihanga only. Upon approval of use of the shop account from responsible trustee, a trustee will meet with nominated representative of the bereaved whanau to confirm approval with New World management the use of the account. a) The amount of purchases will be determined between whanau representative

and trustee. The amount shall not exceed that determined amount.b) The purchase of Alcohol, tobacco and prepaid phone cards is excluded from the

Te Aroa Haami Haereiti New World Account.III. The whanau will keep all receipts and surrender these to the trustee upon

completion of purchases. All funds unused from determined amount will be forfeited.

IV. Receipts held by trustee will be presented at the next Trustee Meeting.
