Some Tips for GEPT Speaking Test- basic/intermediate level

I. 複誦/ 朗讀句子和短文1. 發音要清晰

長短音 hit/ heat; ship/ sheep; made/ made; pain/ pen/ pan

相似音 shirt/ short; world/ word

重音 favorite, accident, happiness, baseball

尾音 chairs, students, cooks, boxes, dishes, waited, needed, changed

連音 Have a slice of pizza. Stand up, please. Come on, hurry up!

I drank a cup of coffee this morning.

I should have called you last night.

2. Wh-問句，語調通常下降

Who, Why, Where, When, Which, What, How

a. Where are you?

b. What are doing in the kitchen?

c. When were you born?

d. How is the weather today?

Yes/No 問句，語調通常上揚a. Would you like some tea?

b. Can you cook?

c. Did you have a good vacation?

d. Are you a student?

3. 注意標點符號 逗點前，語氣不要下降。遇到句點，語氣下降，意味句子完畢。

☆ 眼睛要比嘴巴快 驚嘆號要表達出感情。

4. 注意不要每個字都唸的一樣重。 內容字 content words V.S.功能字 function words
