Last year, I travelled to Yellowstone National Park in the USA. It’s a beautiful place with mountains, lakes and fantastic rivers. We walked along the Yellowstone River, but the best thing for me was the mountains. They were amazing. I climbed to the top of Mount Washburn.

2 LizI live in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. The Outer Hebrides are a group of islands near the coast of Scotland. Stornaway is a beautiful place to live because of the sea. Lots of tourists come here, and there are lots of things to do on the island like cycling, walking and water sports. I love cycling around the island. It’s a great way to see everything.

3 Presenter … and here’s the weather today across Europe: London is warm at 22 degrees. In Athens, it’s hot and sunny at 30 degrees. In Prague, it’s cool at 15 degrees with clouds and some rain during the day. In Madrid, it’s hot and cloudy at 29 degrees.4 HelenLast year, I travelled around Europe. I went to Italy, France, Spain and Greece. I was in each country for about two months. I travelled by train, bus and boat, and I really enjoyed my trip. In the summer, I was in

Greece. It was very hot. I travelled around Greece by bus.

5 MonicaI’m from Spain, but my family and I live in Italy. My dad is a teacher at the University of Milan. I’m here in Oxford this summer to learn English. I love films and I usually go to the cinema once a month with my friends. I watch comedies, fantasy films and romantic films. My favourite film at the moment is Playing for Keeps. It’s a great love story.

2 Paul I want to feel happy when I watch

a film, that’s why I usually watch comedies. I was at my friend’s house at the weekend and there was a sad film on TV. It was terrible! My friend cried! I don’t want to cry when I watch a film!

3 Harry My favourite film at the moment is After

Earth. It’s got Will Smith and his son, Jaden, in it. They’re great actors. When I watch the film, I feel frightened and excited. I love it! Films that can make you feel like that are the best, I think.

4 Sarah I like comedies and animated films.

Comedies make me laugh and I usually watch them when I’m feeling bad or fed up. My favourite films are Madagascar and Ice Age.

5 Peter I didn’t go to school yesterday because

I’ve got a cold and a cough. I was really fed up. I stayed in bed all day and watched my favourite films. Then I felt better. I like lots of different types of films. Comedies and thrillers are the best when you’re ill. They make you forget about yourself.
