PROLOGO PROLOGL'E

Podriemos decir que la culminación de un trabajo, la oeación de alguno cosa determinada no proviene muchas veces de los rriunjos. de los éxitos, sino por el contrario de una serie de fiiicosos parciales. La mejor forma de construir consiste en r o b ~ r dónde e~rrin los defectos, cunles son las cosas que no se deben hacer, en una palabra: evitar el error. Diferentes épocas plantean también probiemas diferentes. El apartarse de lo ya establecido puede tener a veces, si se agudiza el ingenio y se trene perseverancia. elementos nuevos a nuestra consideración; puede fambién dar lugar o la obtertción de soluciones a un determinado problema, mós Iogicfls que lar corrientes, soluciones estas últimas que si bien son aceptadas y reconocidas por todos como verdaderas no incitan por cierto a busedr otro camino.

La escuela. la educación. deben ser ~ermeables a la búsaueda constante. a la liberación de antigua; trabas y a la adopción de nuevas fórmulos que perrnitun establecer las bases teóricos de uno moderna escuela guitarrljricu y ésta no podría subsistir sin leves aue la fundamenten. Porque el rignificodo de la técnico debe rer mucho más amplio que la mera ejecución de muchas notas con rapidez.

Toda norma. toda metodizacMn, puede ser una ayuda que guíe por camino seguro o puede constituirse en una barrera que no permita avanzar; depende primordialmente del uso que se le dé y de quienes y con qué fines ia urtlicen. Lo que importa es que sirva de base y sobre todo saberla emplear, evitondo ser dominado por ello.

Cada nueva época necesita rambién nuevos forma*. Se puede repetir lo que yn se ha dicho, pero aunque no cambie la esencia, la evolución puede existir. Eso no quiere decv que un periodo deba anular al precedente, sino que aquel puede considerarse como la confinuación lógica, a bavés de diversos aportes que vienen o nrlrninor, por U M fel. ~ircunstancin, como consecuencia y acumulación de una serie de factores.

El estudiante debe tener presente que lar posibilidodrs de mejorar su técnica son muy gronde~. Cada vez que se siente con la guitarra para estudiar, debe controlar todos sus movimientos con una gran concenbación y exigirse a s i mismo una correcta ejecución. Laa técnica, su campo de acción, aumenra de una manera extraordinaria cuando se controla con una intensa y permanente concentración; osi se llega en breve tiempo a poseer dominio y solfurn en lo ejecución.

El estudinnte debe limitarse. al comenzar el estudio de una obra, a la solución de un problema aislado; luego, uno vez superado éste. pasar a otro. Así, en esta forma, los diversos aspectos de una obra se pueden trabajar con todos los detalles que ella requiera. Cuando aquellos problemas mecánicos hayan sido resueltos en formo sotisfoetoria, se puede pasar entonces al estudio de la inrerpreración. Una buena eiecución .en guitara sólo es posible cuando el estudio se ha realizado sin olvidarlos mas. minimos defalles, cuando se han snlvado todos los problemas digiro-mecánicos, cosa de poder dirigir y mntrolar ceda rnovimiento en lo eiecucibn de uno obra.

Antes que nada la técnica es un trabajo menral que culmina con el trabajo de los dedos. Erróneamente en forma general. se empleo el término sólo para asociarlo a la ideo de rapidez. agilidad, velocidad descontrolada. Pero en todos estos términos no existe una definición correcta, una valoración que nos dé la imrigen exacta de la palabra "tecnica", Porque si aceptamos la medida, el orden, lo nivelación de valores mediante el trabajo mental, tenemos que aceptar rambién la total sumisión de los dedos para el completo logro de nuestras intenciones. Además. la técnica debe interpretarse como la obtencibn, con el mlnimo esfuerzo, del máximo resultado; todo ello al serviciode ia voluntad superior de ia mente.

Debido a la afinación de la guitarra que no guarda entre sus cuerdas los mismos intervalos, se producen (conservando la misma distancia entre los dedos), diferentes cambios armónicos. La relación de octava entre las cuerdas sexta y cuarta, quinta y tercera. ej. 44, se transforma en septima mayor entre las cuerdas cuarta y segunda, tercera y prima. La relación de quinta aumentada entre las cuerdas sexta y cuarta, quinta y tercera, ej. 45, nos da, conservando la misma distancia entre los dedos. una quinta justa entre las cuerdas cuarta y segunda, tercera y prima, etc.

Conio trabajo complementario deben practicarse los :j 39 al 45 con el diseíío rítmico siguiente. Dcsracar la diferencia del picado y ligado. Se deben rdcar fuerle únicamente las notas ligadas, las notas picadas deben ejecutarse piano, separando bien los sonidos.

Los ejercicios, una vez comprendidos y asimilados, pueden inclusive estudiarse con luna medida rnetronómica adaptable al grado de evolución del ~lumno. Deben además ejecutarse en diferentes ielocidades provocando asi una mayor soltura y ductilidad en los movimientos.

Para facilitar el ejercicio, se comienza en la quinta posición para luego ir descendiendo cromáticamente hasta la posición primera. En la mcdida del descenso se van aumentando las dificultades.

En estos ejercicios la ceja no debe ser un elemento rigido, estdtico, sino que por el contrario debe ser un componente eldstico, dócil a los movimientos de los dedos y permitir los desplazamientos necesarios para mayor efectividad de los ligados.

Pasar alternadamente de una presentación a la otra varias veces. El dedo común (1) no debe levantarse pero sí aflojarse y permitir al brazo hacer girar la mano para poder efectuar el cambio de presentacidn. Dicho dedo debe actuar como punto de apoyo, como un eje, para facilitar los cambios. Los dedos no actúan aislados y no deben liacer mayormente esfuerzo. Es el brazo quien los guía y presenta en su lugar correspon- diente. Es necesario tener presente que de una presentación a otra la colocaci4n del brazo es muy diferente (ver explicación Cuaderno No 3).

En el ej. 82 la mano conserva una misma posición; son los dedos los que cambian* su ubicación por distensión o contraccibn. La posición necesariamente debe cambiarse cuando se repite el. ejercicio un semitono mis bajo.

En el enlace por contracción, cuando se realiza correctamente, se puede apreciar la importancia del movimiento del brazo y e1 cambio que está obligado a efectuar el pulgar apoyado en el mástil. Cuando los dedos (con la niano en presentación longitudinal) se ubican natiirriliiiente en cuatro espacios inmediatos, la separacióii iabertiira) de los dedo'sse encuentra en su estado iiorrnal, es decir que la mano en su forma natural pusde abarcar cuatro espacios. Este ámbito de la mano puede cambiarse voluntariamente abarcando entonces menos o más espacios de lo normal. Una buena técnica debe ser producto de un trahajo mental consciente. No hay que olvidar que el detalle, la búsqueda de soluciones concretas para cada uiia de las partes de una obra. es lo que finalmente nos dará los mejores resultados. En esta forma de encarar el estudio. en el cuidado y pulimento de los detalles, el alumiio encontrará el camino seguro para su progreso. Cuando el estudiante puede solucionar y superar los sectores aislados, cuando puede encontrar la forma más elocuente y adecuada en el mecanismo empleado, empieza entonces a darse cuenta de las posiblidades que tiene para mejorar, comienza a vivir la música despertando una alegría en el trabajo. Y ese trabajo le dará también una mayor seguridad en la ejecución, un control y dominio propio del verdadero intérprete. Una buena interpretación depende dc muchas cosas: 1 ) La digitación debe estar hecha correctamente. 2 ) Empleo consciente de la forma de toque de mano derecha (dinámica y color). 3) Acomodación súbita de la mano izquierda en sus diferentes presentaciones (longitudinnl o transversal) para ayudar a la colocación de los dedos en el diapasón. 4 ) Sumisión absoluta del juego mecánico a la voluntad superior de la mente, quien es en definitiva quien debe regir todo movimiento, así mismo como el descanso inter- mitente y constante de los dedos que no acttian. Lo inismo podrían agregarse para el trabajo de la mano y el brazo. En esta forma el intérprete estará capacitado para trasmitir sin obstáculos la música a ejecutar.
