QUESTION 1

Determine the current I for figure 1 by using the approximation equivalent model for the

diode. Assume V1=20V, Vγ = 0.6V, R 1=20kΩ & R 2=10kΩ .

QUESTION 2

Figure 2 shows a Zener diode circuit. The Zener break-down voltage is Vzo = 5.6V (diode

voltage when Iz ~0mA), and the incremental zener resistance is r z = 3Ω, R i = 50 k Ω

and R L= Determine VL, IZ IL and Pz.

Consider the circuit shown in Figure 3. The range for input voltage is -10 V1 V in

rectangular wave. Diode cut-in voltage is Vγ = 0.7V and VB = 5V. Sketch the output

voltage, Vo.
