The Baltic Guide has been in print for 25 years. Our main goal
is to reach as many tourists visiting Estonia with our Finnish and
Russian publications. Content for each paper is tailored for its
readers. Each paper's editor is a native speaker of the speci�ed

Throughout the year 2017, Finns seek overnight accommodation in
Estonia approximately 1.5 million times.
62 % of trips are made by residents of the capital region.74 %
of trips are made by southern Finns.
In 2017, 747,295 days were spent in Estonia by Finns from
January to June.

In addition 920 000 day trips or overnight stays (on the cruise
ship) are made as well.

Tallinn ports, 8 % arrive overnight.
9.04 million ferry trips between Helsinki and Tallinn are done
every year (2017).

times last year.
The majority of travellers were Finns. In absolute terms, Finns
travel return 2,390,000 times for personal trips and 360,000 times

Kansainvälinen ruokakulttuuri val-taa jatkuvasti isompaa
jalansijaa Tallinnan ravintolamarkkinoilla. Aasialaisia
ravintoloita japani-laisista vietnamilaisiin on avat-tu tiheään
tahtiin viime aikoina. Satay on jo saavuttanut vakiintu-nen aseman
kovassa kilpailussa. Lounasaikaan paikka täyttyy bis-nesasiakkaista
ja iltaisin se tarjoaa illallisille rauhalliset ja viihtyisät
puitteet.
Satayn ruokalistalla näkyy vaikutteita monesta aasialaisesta
keittiöstä kuten thaimaalaisesta, tiibetiläisestä sekä
intialaisesta.
Keittiömestari Parsuram Bhanda-rin juuret ovat Nepalissa.
Ruokalistalla valinnanvaraa on niin paljon, että valinta voi
tuottaa vaikeuksia. Me aloitimme hunaja-karamellisoiduilla
possuribseillä, jotka olivat suussa sulavan her-kullisia.
Vegevaihtoehtona rapea munakoiso seesamikastikkeella oli
mielenkiintoinen ja maistuva uusi tuttavuus. Varma valinta
alkuruu-aksi olisivat tietenkin olleet satayt, mutta tällä kertaa
ne jäivät väliin.
Annokset olivat isoja, joten vatsat alkoivat olla melko täynnä
jo alkupalojen jälkeen. Pääruuaksi listalla olisi ollut
kiinnostavia cur-ryja ja kekseliäitä salaatteja, mutta sopivaksi
testiannokseksi löytyi lopulta pad thai. Klassikkoannos kanaa,
nuudeleita ja pähkinöitä
oli juuri sellainen kuin pitääkin. Jälkiruokana yhtä perinteinen
fri-teerattu banaani täydensi aterian.
Paikan sisustuksessa on onnis-tuttu yhdistämään modernia tyyliä
kodikkaaseen ilmapiiriin. Palve-lusta lisäpisteitä tulee
asiantunte-vista neuvoista, tarjoilijat selvästi osaavat asiansa.
Kasvissyöjille on runsaasti vaihtoehtoja. �
