Khamis Juma Buamim Chairman of Drydocks World & Maritime World

As we continue to make progress and set our objectives for 2014, we need to focus on harvesting the success of our business turnaround and formulate targets in every unit of our group business to strengthen our new culture of target orientation, ownership and accountability to meet and exceed all targets.

We should understand challenges at a global level and channel competencies towards growth and a strong market share. Simultaneously, we seek to review infrastructure needs, which include yard space and optimization, periodical asset maintenance and increasing business capacity as well as information technology, engineering, total process review and alignment, people development and training.

This will include investment on a highly qualied and skilled workforce, establishment of cutting edge policies and guidelines and proper compliance with regulatory requirements. Operational excellence and risk management will be core business requirements and robust performance management practices will ensure fair treatment of our workforce.

We will move to a knowledge based company (SMART & E solutions) with the further development of a globally competitive workforce. We will continue to drive home performance and deliverables which are on schedule and on budget.

We will ensure full compliance with all business requirements which include HSEQ, nancial audits, external and internal business audits, client audits and any other audits required by our stakeholders, while maintaining full transparency in all aspects.
