During Reading -Let ss read the book aloud -When ss struggle with a word, guide them to decode the word by asking: What’s the first letter? What sound does it make? Does it start with the “p” sound”? (break the words into parts, use what they know about letters and sound) What is he doing in the picture? (context clue in the picture/text)
