Trail rules are established for everyone’s safety and well-being. Please abide by the trail rules and contact authorities when
improper use of the trail is observed.
• Keep pets on a leash.
• Clean up after your pet.
• Unauthorized motorized vehicles prohibited.
• Obey all traffic signs.
• Bicycles must yield to pedestrians.
• Everyone must yield to horses.
• Stay to the right of the trail except when passing.
• Give a clear warning before passing other trail users.
• Horses are to use the woodchip/grass side of the trail.
• No horses permitted north of mile marker 12.5.
• Discharging firearms from or across the trail is strictly prohibited.
• Smoking, alcoholic beverages and illegal drugs are not permitted on the trail right of way.
• Avoid disturbing natural features.
• Please respect the landowners along the trail.
• The trail is closed to all users from dusk to dawn.
• Camping on the trail right-of-way or at trailheads is prohibited. No open campfires!

Lebanon Valley Rails to Trails, Inc. is a private,nonprofit organization of volunteers working toenhance the Lebanon community by convertingand maintaining abandoned railroad corridors intopublic recreation trails. As a part of a nationwidetrails and greenways movement, we are preserving apart of Lebanon’s railroad history while providing a much needed resource for the future.
The Lebanon Valley Rail-Trail currently extends from the City of Lebanon south 15 miles to theLancaster County line, passing through the communities of South Lebanon, Cornwall, Mt.Gretna, Colebrook and Lawn. Trailheads with parkingand other amenities are conveniently spaced alongthe way. We hope to someday extend the trailthrough the city to the Union Canal Tunnel Parkand northward to Swatara State Park. In addition,we are actively promoting the development ofnumerous potential spur trails that would branchout into surrounding neighborhoods, commercialcenters and other attractions.
VolunteersLLVRT depends on volunteers for all of the following
activities: trail maintenance, public relations,event planning, future trail development planningand advocacy, and fundraising. Anyone interestedin any of these opportunities can attend a monthlyLVRT meeting to obtain more information aboutcurrent specific needs.

Funding
TThe on-going operation of the rail-trail dependsentirely on the generosity of the trail using public.Your individual contributions are used to purchasemaintenance supplies and tools to keep the trail ingreat shape.
