    Nama warna untuk berbagai jenis suara yang berasal dari analogi yang longgar antara spektrum

    frekuensi gelombang suara hadir dalam suara (seperti yang ditunjukkan dalam diagram biru) danspektrum frekuensi setara dengan gelombang cahaya.. Artinya, jika pola gelombang suara "noise

    biru" diterjemahkan ke dalam gelombang cahaya, cahaya yang dihasilkan akan menjadi biru, dan

    seterusnya.

    manusia mendengar dalam ruang yang proporsional, di mana dua kali lipat frekuensi (satu oktaf)dianggap sama terlepas dari frekuensi aktual (40-60 Hz didengar sebagai interval yang sama dan

    jarak sebagai 4000-6000 Hz), setiap oktaf berisi jumlah energi yang sama dan kebisingan

    sehingga pink sering digunakan sebagai sinyal referensi dalam teknik audio . Para kerapatan

    daya , dibandingkan dengan kebisingan putih, menurun sebesar 3 dB per oktaf(kerapatansebanding dengan 1 /f). Karena ada jumlah tak terbatas band logaritma pada kedua frekuensi

    rendah (DC) dan ujung frekuensi tinggi dari spektrum, setiap spektrum energi yang terbatas

    harus memiliki kurang energi daripada pink noise pada kedua ujungnya. Pink noise adalahkerapatan daya spektral-satunya hukum yang memiliki properti ini: semua spektrum hukum

    kekuatan curam yang terbatas jika terintegrasi ke ujung frekuensi tinggi, dan semua menyanjung

    hukum kekuatan spektrum yang terbatas jika terintegrasi ke DC, frekuensi rendah batas.

    Brown(ian) noise

    Brown spektrum (-6 dB / oktaf)

    Di bidang yang mengadopsi definisi yang tepat, "kebisingan merah" terminologi, juga disebut

    kebisingan Brown atau kebisingan Brown , biasanya akan merujuk pada kepadatan kekuatan

    yang berkurang 6 dB per oktaf dengan meningkatnya frekuensi (kerapatan sebanding dengan 1 /fselama rentang frekuensi yang tidak termasukDC (dalam pengertian umum, tidak termasuk

    komponen konstan, atau nilai nol frekuensi). Di daerah di mana terminologi yang digunakan

    secara longgar, "kebisingan merah" dapat merujuk ke sistem dimana densitas daya berkurangdengan meningkatnya frekuensi.

    Definisi pertama dapat dihasilkan oleh suatu algoritma yang mensimulasikan gerak Brown ataudengan mengintegrasikan white noise. "Brown" kebisingan tidak dinamai spektrum daya yang

    menunjukkan bahwa warna coklat, melainkan nama adalah korupsi gerak Brown. "KebisinganMerah" menggambarkan bentuk dari spektrum kekuasaan, dengan merah muda yang antara

    merah dan putih. Juga dikenal sebagai "random walk" atau "berjalan pemabuk itu" kebisingan.

    Kebisingan abu-abu adalah white noise acak dikenakan kurva kenyaringan yang samapsychoacoustic (seperti terbalikkurva A-bobot ) selama rentang frekuensi tertentu, memberikan

    pendengar persepsi bahwa itu adalah sama-sama keras pada semua frekuensi. Ini adalah berbeda

    dengan kebisingan putih standar yang memiliki kekuatan yang sama atas skala linear frekuensi

    tetapi tidak dianggap sebagai sama-sama keras karena bias pada manusiakontur kenyaringansama.

    Pengukuran di indoor menggunakan jarak 1.25 meter, karena pada jarak itu, sumber bunyi
