Say Yes To Reversing The Curse 4th Quarter Prayer Directive

2 Corinthians 1:20 (AV) — For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. Just as Esther acted to reverse the curse against her and her people in Esther 8:4 6, we must act to reverse the curses in our lives. The curse of disrespect, self pity, fear, and offense can keep us from receiving all that God has for us.

Reverse the Curse of Disrespect and Fear• Psalms 37:5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he

shall bring it to pass. Young translates it as, “Roll upon Jehovah thy way; trust upon him and he worketh.”

• It calls to our attention the immediate action of God on our behalf when we truly commit, or roll out our way into HIS HANDS.

• The burden of whatever it may be; a way of sorrow, of difficulty, of physical need, of ANY need we may have, “He worketh.”

• When? NOW! We can go ahead and start praising Him for the an-swer, knowing He immediately began meeting our need!

• This expectancy enables God to do the very thing we rolled unto Him because it was out of our reach.

• Even if we don’t see any results we can still believe He is working on it. I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me (Psalms 57:2).

>Pray that God will help you focus on Kingdom things that we may become a mighty army for the Kingdom of God. >No weapon formed against us shall prosper. We will see greater things in this latter rain than they saw in the former rain.>Pray to see our altars filled with souls receiving the Holy Ghost,

our pews filled with community seeking to know God, and our church filled with testimonies of miracles, signs and wonders.

Reverse the Curse of Self Pity and Offense• If we allow self pity to control us it will keep us from moving forward.

Many times self pity begins with a spirit of offense. When we allow these things to take root in our lives, we will not be able to face the consequences of our own choices; nor will we be able to get better. We end up blaming others instead of taking personal responsibility.

• Self pity makes it easy to live in the past, wandering through the grave-yard of a thousand what ifs. We see self pity and offense in the parable of the prodigal son (Luke 15:25 32) and all that it did to him. It destroys happiness (v. 28), it destroys your usefulness and others’ effectiveness in the kingdom (v. 28b), it destroys unity (v.29).

• The cause of his self pity and offense was that he could not see past himself. His favorite words were “I, me, and my” and these distorted views and values caused offense and self pity to be stirred in his life. But there is a cure.

• We must recognize our abundant provision and have gratefulness (v.32 “All that I have is yours.”).

• We need to celebrate our purpose and all that we see God is doing! When we take our eyes off ourselves and turn them to others’ needs God turns towards us.

• We see this in Job’s life. Not only did God restore him but he gave him a double portion. Job 42:10 (AV) And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also, the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before. This is our promise as well!

>Pray that God will give a spirit of humility, gentleness and patience that we may show tolerance to each other in love.>Thank God for allowing you to be a part of the church in such a time as this.>Pray that God would help you to be sensitive to the needs of others and to pray sincerely for them.
