InternetAddictionByIreneLopezComputershaveevolvedimmenselyinthepasttenyears,andastheInternethasbecomecommoninmostAmericanhouseholds,othercountrieslikeChinaandSouthKoreahavebroadbandspeedsthatsurpasstheU.S.,thuswhytherearemoreInternetaddictsinsuchareas.
ThecontroversyaboutInternetaddictionhasbeenthatitisabehavioralornaturaldisorderratherthanachemicaldisorderandmaybeaffectedbyself‐esteemissues.Therootcause?Computer‐mediatedcommunication,suchassocialnetworkingsites,ispossiblycausingsomepeopletobecomemoredepressedandlonely,andismakingpeoplemoresusceptibletobecominganInternetaddict.

SECOND LIFE VIEWER 2: The basic 3D browsing software is thedefaultviewerforSecondLife,offeredfreebyLindenLabs.PHOENIXVIEWER:This enhanced viewer is basedon theoriginalSecondLifeViewer,offeringendlessfeatures.IMPRUDENCEVIEWER: Imprudence is an open source viewer forSecondLifeandOpenSim,offeringabuilt‐inanimationoverrider.KIRSTENSVIEWER:Tailoredtofilmmakersandphotographers,thisviewerincludesadvancedlightingeffectsforhighendusers.

The shared object can be a textdocument, video, slide presentation, or still images; supported file types andsourcesincludePDF,Excel,PowerPoint,andFlickr.
Usersareabletocommentviafivemethods:(1)voiceormicrophone,(2)textchat,(3)audiofile,(4)telephone,or(5)webcam.Individualsarerepresentedoneithersideofthescreenbysmalliconsshowingtheiravatars,personalphotosorwebcamvideo.
Among many innovative VoiceThread features, doodling is one of the mostpopular.Throughthe interactivedoodlingtool,userscandrawontheartifact toillustrateapoint,simultaneouslyviewablebyallusers.Groupdiscussionscanalsobe shared publicly by embedding the conversation onto web pages, such asiGoogle,Xanga,Facebook,andLiveJournal.
