Welcome to the New world of Digital Panel MeterThere are following several problems with previous digital panel meters.

1) The more functions are added, the setting operation became more complicated.

2) Hard to read characters in a 7-segment LED

3) Causes individual differences in the operation including time, such as holding buttons.

Watanabe Electric Industry selected a TFT full dot color LCD and cross keys to solve these problems.

Also, we developed a totally new digital panel meter with new usage ideas utilizing the full dot

LCD to the maximum, while considering people and the environment.

High precision measurements and various measurement menus with a 32-bit MCU.

The display "values," "bar graphs" and "trend graphs" can be selected according to the measurement application.

A display rotation function which can select mounting direction

Easy to read by 2.4 inch TFT full-color LCD.

User friendly settings menu and language selection (English and Japanese)

Standard 1 channel input type and 2 channel input type which enables special measurements.

Normally displays values, and the unit display can also be selected. The two channel input model consisting of two lines of an Ach and Bch includes a calculation function as standard equipment. Also, calculation formula is displayed.

Rotating direction of panel

Standardly equipped with a function to rotate the panel 90 ° . Horizontal mounting or vertical mounting can be freely selected. For example, the selection of potential mounting spaces will expand even when a d d in g a d i g i t a l p a ne l w h i c h w a s unexpected during the development of a system.

The ratio of the measured value for the entire amount can be seen by the bar graph, and the accurate measurement value can be checked from the numerical display. This function is ideal for the measurement of water levels in tanks.

Since the measurement trend can be checked in the line graph, the trend of the measurement object can be understood. For example, simple estimation of the life span i s p o s s i b l e b y u n d e r s t a n d i n g t h e abnormalities of the bearings of rotating objects, and irregular cycles of rotation.

Shortcut function

Shortcut key of external control function can be assigned to the cross key using "FUNC" key. By holding the cross key down, you can use the external control easily.

Restoration function

In addition to the initialize function, WPMZ also can restore the settings to the memorized "set value" set by the customer.

Start delay function

The s t a r t t ime o f a s y s t em can be intentional ly delayed. For example, sequence errors of overall systems can be prevented by intentionally delaying the time setting in consideration of the warm up of a system where the panel is to be mounted, or the alarm output of the WPMZ which affects the initial activation of a system.

The display can be changed to three different methods according to the measurement purpose.

Power saving function

When operation is not performed for a certain period of time, the display can be turned OFF to suppress power consumption. This function can be used as an environmentally friendly function of a system in which the panel is mounted.

The brightness of the WPMZ can be adjusted in five steps (bright to dark). For example, when using at night, unnecessary reflection on windows and peripheral equipment can be prevented.

The target setting menu can be selected properly, as the settings menu of the WPMZ is displayed in the desired language. This differs greatly from the character information by the conventional 7-segment LED, which eliminates mistakes during the confirmation of the Instructions Manual.

Key lock function

The safety measures of the WPMZ are perfect for careless key operation. Disable the operation of each buttons by pressing the DISP button and the ENTER button at the same time.

Self-diagnostics function

The WPMZ has a built-in self-diagnostics function to prevent accidents with equipment to be connected to the WPMZ. Pre-operation checks can be performed by checking the status of each terminal at once, and outputting a simulated analog output to the connected equipment.

The model can be selected from a 1 channel or 2

channel input specification for this digital panel

meter, equipped with a comparator and various

calculation functions.

In the 2 channel specification model, the measured

value and calculated value including the Ach + Bch,

etc. can be displayed for the Ach (1 channel) and

Bch (2 channels) respectively.

This unit compares the display value, and the

comparison results can be output by the open

collector (NPN, PNP).

Optional analog output, RS-485, RS-232C, and BCD

are also available.
