2. Installation and Connection of V13

2.1 TV ConnectionV13 supports 2 different video out (HDMI, Composite).You can choose and connect the appropriate cable according to your availableinput devices(TV, Projector).Composite(Video) Cable Connetion1. Connect Venice V13 HD and your TV using a composite video cable(Yellow)2. Turn on Venice V13 HD and TV. Select 'composite' as the video input of yourTV.3. Press the 'TV-OUT' button on Venice V13 Remote Control one by one andadjust the display mode to 'VIDEO' (There's no LCD display on the V13, so becareful to meet the Video mode)

* Mode change per 'TVOUT' button pressing: [NTSC Video] [PAL Video] [NTSC→ →HDMI (480P)] [PAL HDMI(576P)]→HDMI Cable Connection (Cable Option)1. Connect Venice V13 HD and your TV using an HDMI cable. In case of TV withDVI port, it can make HDMI connection through HDMI to DVI converter cable.2. Turn on Venice V13 HD and TV. Select 'HDMI' as the video input of your TV.3. V13 Video-out mode change by pressing [TV-OUT] button on the remote.You can change Video-out mode of V13 by pressing [TV-OUT] button on the

remote.

If there's no display after connecting video cable (Composite or HDMI), press

[TV-OUT] button on the remote controller one by one until you see the

display.

TV-out mode of V13 is changed according to the following order.

[NTSC Video] [PAL Video] [NTSC HDMI (480P)] [PAL HDMI→ → →(576P)].No display after connecting to TVThere's no display or 'black & white' color only, press [TV-OUT] buttons one

by one continuously till the correct display is appeared. This process changes

the TV out mode and show the display when they're matched. (When TV-out

mode is set, it automatically records the setting value. You don't need to set

it whenever you turn on V13)

[TV-OUT] mode changes need 2~3 seconds to set it. So, press [TV-OUT]

button one time, please wait 3 seconds and check the result.HDMI resolution by [TV-OUT] mode change is 480P.If your display(TV, monitor, projector.) supports 720P, 1080i, 1080P, please

go to [SETUP] and change it [Setup -> Audio & Video -> Digital TV Out]

and select the resolution.

2.2 Audio Cable Connection2 Channel(Stereo) connectionV13 HD supports decoding of various audio formats and make 2 channelaudio-out. In case high quality audio (DTS, Dolby Digital), V13 HD supportsdecoding and 2 channel audio(stereo) out without external receiver.Users who don't have external receiver need to connect RCA cable toRight(White)/Left(Red) connectors of V13 HD.Audio Stereo connection is available no matter what Video connection is.Connection to a 5.1 CH receiverIf you use Venice V13 HD with a multi-channel decoder/amplifier with coaxialinput, you can enjoy 5.1channel high quality sound.(Coaxial cables are not included.They should be purchased separately.)

If there is no sound after connection the coaxial cable, you have to change

the input setting of external receiver.

If a receiver displays 'L-PCM' on DTS or Dolby Digital signal, you have to

What is an external Infrared(IR) receiver?While using this product outside, the use of the included remote control might

be inconvenient. The external Infrared receiver adjusts the extents and angle of

IR signal reception.

2.4 Network Connection (H/W Connection)LAN Connection to a PCConnect a LAN cable directly to the LAN ports of Venice V13 HD and a PC.In case Venice V13 HD to PC direct connection, LAN cable should be cross

cable type. The LAN card in PC is connected with Internet line, user need to

install additional LAN card to connect to Venice V13.Connection via the Internet IP Router or HubConnect the LAN port of the IP Router or Hub to the LAN port of Venice V13 HDby using a direct type LAN cable.

The LAN cable for a direct connection between a PC and a Hub is a direct

type cable.

After connecting to the LAN, please set your Windows Network settings as

USB Wireless LAN ConnectionYou can use a wireless connection between the PC and Venice V13 HD. VeniceV13 can support an optional wireless LAN card. Wireless LAN card is option. Usershave to purchase it additionally.Venice V13 can support USB wireless LAN cards which use the Ralink Chipset.(* Please purchase and use USB wireless LAN tested and approved by SkydigitalInc. Check the compatible device list)1. Install the wireless LAN card to the USB host(front or rear) port on Venice V13

2. Turn on Venice V13 HD.(If you install a USB wireless LAN card when Venice V13 HD is on, it doesn'trecognize it. Install it when Venice V13 HD is off.)3. Main Menu is comprised of 4 different icons.In Main Menu, move by using arrow keys (Volume Up, Down and Channel Up,Down) and select by using [OK] button.Press [menu] button on the remote, then it goes back to the main menu from theselected icon(HDD, network, USB).In case of SETUP, after finishing setup, please press [SETUP] button on the remotecontroller to go back to main menu.Each icon and feature is as below: Installed HDD (Not activated!): Wire/Wireless network of V13: V13 supports 2 different USB hosts. Do play, copy and delete the media files in the shared folders of networkPC and NAS devices. To start network play, PC and NAS devices should bepower-on and shared.Venice V13 HD supports total 3 ways (SAMBA, NFS, UPNP) to use Network share.- SAMBA mode: You don't need to install any special program to use SAMBAclient, but you have to setup for share folder authorization andmost of all, the data transfer speed is lower than NFS. If V13 has anassigned IP, 'Torrent Today' in main menu will be activated as below.Select ‘Torrent Today’, then it shows the list of torrent today. Just select (press‘OK’ button) the file you want to download and press ‘YES’, then torrent engine ofV13 start downloading.To use Torrent & Torrent today, USB storage device should be connected

with V13 first before turning on V13.

If USB storage device is removed from V13 during Torrent file downloading

abnormally, it can cause a damage on USB device and it's data. Please pay
