ella mia memoria, sono da sempre depositati i fantasmi della inconfondibile identità della Venini. Quando lavoro per questa nobile azienda cerco sempre di collegarmi al mistero degli archetipi che hanno condotto a un così preciso stile, lungo una così lunga storia, e cerco di provarne una interpretazione. Mi sembra che il gusto Venini sia frutto di un magico dosaggio creatosi nel tempo, fra alcune tecniche esclusive, alcuni eccezionali artisti inventori di forme, e la scelta di certi colori. Questa tradizione e questi confini sono la magica formula di Venini. L'”hortus conclusus” Venini fa parte delle meraviglie dell'umanità. Calma e saggezza di un chiaro artigianato, puro e intatto nel tempo, incorruttibile dalla violenza delle mode, un esempio e una testimonianza di perfezione.

he spirits of Venini’s unmistakable identity have always been imprinted upon my memory. When I work for this noble company, I always try to connect to the mystery of archetypes that led to such a precise style with such a long history, and I seek to interpret that. I believe that the Venini taste is the fruit of an enchanted mix, created over time, of a few exclusive techniques, a handful of exceptional artists who were inventors of forms, and a predilection for certain colors. This tradition and these boundaries are Venini’s magic formula. Its hortus conclusus (enclosed garden) is one of humanity’s wonders. It contains the calmness and skill of clear craftsmanship that has remained pure and intact throughout time, incorruptible by the violence of fashion, an example and proof of perfection.

VENINI is blown handmade glass, Thanks to the ancient formulas, which have been jealously kept secret in the chemical lab of the furnace, the VENINI colors belong to the ancient cultural heritage, which has been forwarded from generation into generation. The perfect know-how on working glass has always been the most outstanding feature of VENINI ’s production.2 3

Il Veronese fu soffiato per la prima volta nel 1921, grazie all’intuizione del pittore Vittorio Zecchin direttore artistico della Venini dal 1921 al 1925. L’artista colse lo spunto da un dipinto del 1580 di Paolo Veronese “l’Annunciazione della Vergine”, conservato presso le Gallerie dell’Accademia di Venezia. L’opera in vetro ottenne un grande successo tanto da divenire il “logo” dell’azienda.

The Veronese vase was blown for the first time in 1921 thanks to Vittorio Zecchin’s intuition. The artist, who was VENINI’s art director from 1921 to 1925, took inspiration from a painting by Paolo Veronese, finished in 1580, which is today kept at the Accademia Galleries in Venice: “The Annunciation”. The glass work was so successful that it became the firm’s logo.
