Investiture Ceremony

The Srijan School , held its Investiture Ceremony for Junior School and Senior School Council members on 11

and 12 May 2017 respectively. The Junior School Council Members were officially appointed through the ad-

ministration of the oath and were pinned by the Principal, Mr. Vincent Ashish Moses and the Junior School

Head , Ms. Sonia Shamihoke. The chief guest Col.S.N. Kartikeyan presented the newly elected senior council

members with badges and the newly elected office bearers pledged to work earnestly and uphold the honour

and glory of the institution. The Principal congratulated the newly appointed members of the council and moti-

vated them to put in their best efforts in the execution of he duties assigned to them.

Leadership Training Camp

The Srijan School conducted an overnight camp on 28th July 2017& a day camp on 29th July 2017 for the newly elected Student Council. The key leadership areas were communication skills, team work, goal setting and self awareness. The training on these areas was provided through a spec-trum of activities and modules designed by the facilitators, which included team games, commu-nication games, Ted Talks followed by discussion. An engaging session was taken by the Junior School Head, Ms. Sonia Shamihoke and the Principal, Mr. Vincent Ashish Moses.These budding leaders not only enjoyed themselves but took home with them many valuable lessons that they had forged during the camp.

Founders’ Day An atmosphere of celebration filled The Srijan school when the stu-dents and teachers gathered to cele-brate the 15 Founders day on 14 July 2017. The day began with a musical performance by the school choir followed by a presentation by the students of class V on the rele-vance of the founders day. The principal Mr. Vincent Ashish Mo-ses addressed the gathering. An enthralling performance was given by the senior school students. The achievers in scholastic and non scholastic areas were awarded . Stream wise toppers of class XII and subject toppers of classes X and XII were awarded to celebrate

the spirit of the day.

Independence Day

The students of Class IV presented an assembly on how the National Flag evolved. They also dis-

played a well synchronized dance performance using tricolored dupattas.

Janamashtami Celebrations

The festival of Jana-

mashtami was celebrated

with great zeal and energy

by the children of KG clas-

ses. 150 children danced to

the mixed melodies of

Krishna with great joy .

Their coordination and

confidence impressed one

and all.

Anveshan Anveshan, a musical event organized by Itihaas was hosted by The Srijan School. It witnessed a partici-

pation of 16 teams from 9 schools across Delhi. The theme for this year was ‘Change’. Students re-

searched about people, inventions and events that changed the course of history and these results

were used to prepare a musical composition. It was an event filled with immense joy along with multi-

dimensional learning. The creativity of the young minds, their passion and enthusiasm left the judges

spellbound. Two students from The Srijan School; Vastav Chhabra (XI A) and Ansh Sachdeva (XI E)

direct experiences. With this in

mind the students of class XI

(commerce) visited “Bhiwadi Gas

Cylinders Pvt Ltd.” on 13 May 2017

accompanied by the Commerce De-

partment. The students attended a

motivational session by Prof SK

Palhan at Great Lakes Institute of

Management, Gurugram which ignited the students‟s spirit and innovation. It was an enriching

experience for the students to learn about the manufacturing process of cylinders and under-

stand the dynamics of team work at the management institute .

ence. Keeping this in mind Itihaas

Walks down the historical lanes of Del-

hi were organized for classes VI to

VIII. They visited Yamuna Bank and

Agrasen Ki Baoli, Qutub Minar Com-

plex, Indira Gandhi Memorial and

Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum respectively. These walks were enriching learn-

ing experiences for the students while they explored the architectural heritage

of Delhi.

DELETREATRON ESPAÑOL Deletreatron ESPAÑOL was organized on 20th

July 2017 in the school. It was an interactive

competition for class VII students consisting of

five wonderfully crafted and conducted rounds.

All in all, the Spellathon encouraged the partici-

pants to build their vocabulary through fun ac-

tivities. DELETRATRON ESPAÑOL, won by the team “Equipo Rosa”comprising of Eva Tewary,

Eshani Garg, Saanvi Gupta and Jayesh Sethi from VII B, was a grand success.

On the occasion of Teachers’ Day an assembly was conducted by class V Karakoram. The students highlighted the life of Dr S Radha Krishnan, a dear teacher, a scholar and the second president of the country. It was followed by a po-em recital and a dance perfor-mance .To make the day special the children had also planned some fun games for the teachers. An in-spiring address by the Principal culminated the programme.

Literary Day The students of the primary classes

celebrated „Literary Day‟. The day

was quite eventful as children par-

ticipated in fun-filled and enriching

activities like story-telling, puppet

show, quiz and a movie screening.

This Event provided the students

with a platform to showcase their

literary skills.

Kadam 1 Dr. Imran Noorani , a consultant

child and adolescent psychologist,

Sir Ganga Ram Hospital took an

interactive workshop on 13th May,

2017 for parents on social skill

training. This Kadam workshop

catered to the different types of

social skills of children.

The Srijan School in collaboration with Educational Initiatives conducted the ASSET test for class V

students. It is a diagnostic test which helps students strengthen their skills and improve upon their

shortcomings.

Puppets are a natural and fun extension of the pretend play that are delightful for the little ones!!

A Puppet Show was organized for Nursery and K.G classes by their teachers. They used colourful

gloves and attractive stick puppets that made the show interactive and entertaining for the tiny tots.
