The high school academic program consists of seven classes organized into four eighty-five minutes blocks per day that rotate, equally. All core classes are yearlong, divided between two semesters, for approximately 180 instructional days.AIS West’s American diploma is recognized by the Egyptian Ministry of Educat ion as equivalent to the Egyptian General Secondary Certificate. American International School in Egypt, West graduated its first class of 21 students in 2014. As members of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), its international affiliate (Intl ACAC) and the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), AIS West counselors are bound by the ethical practices of these organizations.
