Weisbord suggested in 1976 that there were six key areas in which things
must go right if an organisation was to be successful. This model, The
Weisbord Six Box Organisational Model proposes a diagnostic approach
for identifying the key areas to be addressed when developing or
implementing a strategy or change in an organisation (figure 2.3).

The field of organizational development, ?Helpful Mechanism? is one of the most
important elements of Weisbord Model. It is concerned with the performance,
development, and effectiveness of human resources through the application of
technological solutions. In today?s technological age, technology provides simplistic
solutions, to complex work environment, and procedures. Hence, it increases
productivity, and work efficiency within the estimated operational costs. It is one of the
six sigma of Wiseboard Model. It is a hybrid technological solution, and its scope extents
to organizations with strategic planning through data, and report generation,
organizational performance evaluation, through various matrix analysis, team building
through action research, leadership development through the implementation of decision
system. It is part of a system as a whole that allows management to operate, and
change organizational culture through performance improvement, which can easily be
achieved by implementing organizational knowledge management system to facilitate
organizational learning; thus, process improvement is achieved through innovation and
creativity, succession planning, and quality management. In simple words, ?Helpful
Mechanism? is a support system that serves as a backbone to all the elements of
Weisbord Model for the purpose of achieving shared goals. In any organization across
the industry, external environments play an influential role. External environment can be
politics, state, and federal laws, and collective bargaining power of union. These
elements influences corporate behaviors. They demand organization change, which is
inturn implemented by Weiseboad model as a business solution
