Dear Parents, Welcome to a new school year! We start the

year as the renovation and expansion of facilities at the Crockett campus is underway. The new building is expected to be ready for occupation early 2011. Until such time, all classes will take place using available facilities at the Crockett Early Childhood Campus at 1417 Houston Avenue.

¡Bienvenidos, Padres! Queridos Padres: ¡Bienvenidos a un nuevo año escolar! Comenzamos

este año mientras la renovación y expansión de las instalaciones de la escuela aún están en desarrollo. Se espera que el nuevo edificio esté listo para ser usado a principios de 2011. Hasta ese momento todas las clases tendrán lugar en las instalaciones disponibles en el campo de educación temprana Crockett, en el 1417 de la avenida Houston.

STUDENT SAFETY / SEGURIDAD ESCOLAR CROCKETT ECC CAMPUS

Dropping off / picking up students from the street, which involves students to cross the street to get to their destination is not ACCEPTABLE due to student safety reasons. We therefore urge you NOT to pick up/drop off your child from ACROSS the streets but to do so ONLY at the SCHOOL side of Bingham Street both during regular school and after-school hours. This is the ONLY PICK UP/DROP OFF ZONE for the School. Minors are not allowed to pick up students at dismissal. Walkers need to be registered at the school office. Your usual cooperation and support for these very important security concerns are requested, please.

Debido a razones de seguridad NO es PERMITIDO dejar o recoger los estudiantes en el otro lado de la calle de manera que ellos tengan que cruzarla para llegar a la escuela. Le pedimos que NO deje o recoja a su hijo del otro lado de la calle, sino SOLAMENTE por el lado de la CALLE CROCKETT que es la única zona de DEJAR O RECOGER sus hijos cuando asisten a la escuela. Estas reglas son tanto para el horario regular de clases como para el programa de después de escuela. No se permitirá que menores recojan a los estudiantes a la hora de salida. Los que caminan necesitan registrarse en la oficina. Esperamos su acostumbrada cooperación y ayuda en este importante aspecto de la seguridad escolar.
