FIGURE 1 . Follicular peripheral T‐cell lymphoma mimicking cHL. Hematoxylin and eosin‐stained sections showing a follicular growth pattern with large nodules as illustrated by CD23+ FDC meshwork located within B‐cell follicles (inset) without fibrosis (A) and presence of scattered large cells resembling HRS cells high magnification (inset in D) (B‐D). The RS‐like cells strongly express CD30 (E) and showed CD15 Golgi staining (F). They are commonly positive for CD20 (G) and MUM1/IRF‐4 (H). They are infected by EBV as shown by the expression of EBER transcripts by ISH (I) and LMP‐1 (J). I, CD20+ (brown membrane staining) B‐cell nature of EBV‐infected B cells (blue‐purple nuclei by ISH with EBER probes) (A‐J, case 1).

FIGURE 3 . Neoplastic T cells in F‐PTCL mimicking cHL. Hematoxylin and eosin‐stained sections showing that the background small lymphocytes disclosed some minimal atypia with abundant pale cytoplasm and some nuclear irregularity (A and B). The minimal atypia is highlighted by immunohistochemical staining with CD3 (C) and CD5 (D) showing neoplastic T cells surrounding a large RS‐like cell (case 5). The atypical T cells are CD4 positive (E) and express the TFH markers ICOS (G), BCL6 (F), PD1 (H), and CXCL13 with a typical cytoplasmic dot‐like pattern (I). A meshwork of CD21+ FDCs (J) is present (C‐J, case 1).

ALCL ALK‐
