*-Overtime #-Match played in Savannah, GA

$-Match played in Panama City, FL

Did You Know? Only one time has Florida Southern been involved in a game where each team scored four goals. In 1999, the Moccasins defeated Rollins at Barnett Field, 5-4, with the teams combining for five goals in the final 17 minutes, and the Tars scoring twice in the final six minutes to cut the gap to one. Liane Muise had two goals and one assist for the Mocs, while Alicia Milyak had a hat trick for Rollins. One year later, Rollins took things even further with a 9-7 loss to Tampa.

Did You Know? Senior defender Lexie Bottomley became only the second field player in team history to play every minute of every game when she did it in 2011. Nicole Brant, another defender, did so as both a junior (2003) and senior (2004), a stretch of 34 straight games.

FLORIDA SOUTHERN MISCELLANEOUS RECORDS

Fastest Goal at the Start of a Match ..................................... 9/30/09   In a 5‐0 win over Flagler in 2009, Princess Haley became the first (and  so  far, only) player  in  team history  to  score a goal  in  the  first minute  of  the  game.  It  came  just  40  seconds  after  the  opening kickoff,  and  though  it  had  never  happened  before  then,  it  nearly happened  a  second  time  in  the  same  game.  Just  28  seconds  later, Renee Heacock scored again for the Moccasins for the second fastest goal  in team history. The Mocs then added a third goal when Ashlie Haas gave them a 3‐0 lead only 3:24 into the game.   The only other time Florida Southern has scored a goal in the first two minutes of a game was  in a 6‐0 win over Thomas  in 2007. Erin Hopkins scored that one at the 1:28 mark.   Defensively, Florida Southern has allowed a  first‐minute goal on two occasions, most recently in 2004, when Rollins scored 27 seconds into the game en route to a 3‐0 win. The first time  it happened was even faster, as Tampa’s Stephanie Keating needed just 14 seconds to score in 1999.

Shortest Time Between Goals ............................................... 9/30/09   Considering  the  way  the  2009  game  against  Flagler  started,  it should come as no surprise that Princess Haley and Renee Heacock also set a school record for the shortest time between two goals. By scoring  just 28 seconds apart,  they broke  the previous  record of 34 seconds set in 1998 by Noreen Drenthe and Valerie Krajcsik in a 4‐1 win over Embry‐Riddle.   Shortest Time Between Goals by the Same Player ................ 10/4/06   Though  she  would  later  go  on  to  be  the  2007  SSC  Defensive Player‐of‐the‐Year, Amy  Clampitt‐Holsenbeck  first  put  her  name  in the Florida Southern record book  for something she did on offense. One year earlier, in a 7‐1 win over Warner Southern, she became the first player to score two goals in less than a minute; those goals came 41  seconds  apart  and  sent  her  on  the way  to  the  first  of  her  two career hat tricks.   Since  then, one other player has managed  to  score  two goals  in less than a minute’s time. Liz Gorman  joined her  in that category by scoring  55  seconds  apart  in  a  4‐2  victory  at  Lynn  in  2008.  She  too went on to score a third goal later in the game.

Four other freshmen have scored one goal in their first collegiate game, most recently Princess Haley in 2007.

September 1 match at Florida Tech non-conference

Did You Know? Adi Alvarado needed just seven seconds of overtime to score the game-winning goal in a 3-2 victory at Abilene Christian in 2011. It was the fastest overtime goal in team history, and the second time they needed less than a minute of sudden death to win a game. In 2001, Joanie DeHaven scored 18 seconds into overtime to give the Mocs a 2-1 win over Bryant.
