M Moser’s IPD (integrated project de-livery) model is different from the tra-ditional project model. Traditionally, multiple contractors each perform just one narrow project task.

By contrast, IPD means that all the ex-pertise required to bring the project from concept to completion is inte-grated into a single collaborative team with a single ultimate objective. This approach enables better coordination of project actions, tighter control of cost, time and quality, and consider-ably reduced project risk.

Closely linked to sustainability is the concept of ‘wellness’ – the practice of en-suring a work environment’s positive impact on its users’ health, comfort and productivity. This geometrically clean building with its dynamic swerve is the head-quarters of Qoros, a new generation Chinese carmaker.

Construction had already begun when Qoros determined that a dif-ferent design direction was required. M Moser’s integrated design-build project team subsequently re-envi-sioned the design.

Rather than starting with the ex-terior and working inward, the team evolved the design from the inside-out, optimising spaces for func-tion, flow and a collaborative working style. The subsequent transformation was dramatic, encompassing the façade, MEP, and interiors.

Highlights include a diagonal atrium with a central entryway and show-room at its base, and the exterior’s de-fining feature – a dramatic ‘swerve’ of glazing that is a fitting expression of a brand whose essence is movement.

这一造型方正简约中亦充满活力动感的建筑是中国新一代汽车制造商观致的总部。

在观致决定为总部大楼寻求一个全新的设计风格前,建造工作其实已经开始。为了应对这个情况,穆氏随即组建了一支整合了设计和建造专家的项目团队,对设计方案进行了全新的构思。项目团队并没有采用从外部设计着手进而逐步向内推进的模式,而是采用了由内而外的方式来改进设计方案,将空间优化以突显功能性、流动性和协同作业氛围。整栋办公楼的外立面、机电工程以及内部设计随之焕然一新。

项目的亮点包括了一个阶梯式中庭,在首层有一个中央入口和展览室。而建筑的外观设计则采用了非常“灵动”的玻璃幕墙,以体现品牌充满活力的特点。

Nu Skin’s China headquarters exem-plifies how unique architecture and interior design can grow directly from a client’s aspirations and corpo-rate culture.

The complex presents a brand-immer-sive journey for visiting distributors. This inspired the architectural expres-sion, building placement, massing, transparency levels, and internal spatial functionalities.

Visitors arrive in the Vision Hall, pro-ceed to the Multimedia Exhibition & Experience Hall and Production Devel-opment Building, then conclude with a product showcase in the Headquar-ters Building.

Features such as rainwater reclama-tion and reuse systems, sustainable materials and advanced envelope con-struction contributed to the project’s LEED Gold certification.

如新的中国总部展示了客户的发展愿景和企业文化是如何孵化出独一无二的建筑和室内设计方案。

对于到此参观的经销商而言,整个建筑群都在为他们展示一个全方位的品牌之旅。而这恰恰对建筑表达、建筑布局、密集度、通透性以及内部空间功能性的考量都有极大启发。

This M Moser-led project transformed six dilapidated factory buildings – part of a former textile industry site – into an inspiring, brand-defining workplace for Tencent, one of China’s leading social media companies.

While preserving their industrial char-acter, the designers linked the orig-inal buildings together into a single distinctive workplace with open-sided bridges.

Inside, a key feature are the mezza-nine floors inserted into the build-ings’ existing shell. These maximise the ex-factory’s vertical space, creating a ‘building within a build-ing’ composed of layers of open-plan work, meeting and social spaces.

This campus is an example of how M Moser’s ‘inside-out’ approach re-sults in workplaces embodying both optimised function and distinctive brand-appropriate form.

An expansion of Lenovo’s existing campus facilities, the project was led by a cross-disciplinary project team, an approach enabled every aspect to be developed holistically while streamlin-ing the development process. Client participation in the process ensured that the design would evolve to sup-port their needs from day one.

Externally, the campus’s verticality is exaggerated by facades of copper-aluminium alloy fins which minimise glare and solar gain. Its towers are aligned to create visual connections to the surrounding community; espe-cially from its lobby, canteen, training centre and office spaces.

这一企业园区展现了穆氏“由内而外”模式在实际中的应用,并充分体现了穆氏在设计办公场地时,如何既保证功能的最优化,又突显客户品牌个性。

Repurposing a light industrial loft building led to the creation of the new Shanghai headquarters of arva-to, a leading international provider of digital marketing, customer relation-ship management, supply chain man-agement, financial and IT services.

The project brings arvato’s corporate, design, customer and client service functions under one roof, while pro-viding staff with a warm, modern and vibrant work environment.

From concept design through to fit-out, all elements of the project process were integrated under a sin-gle team for a streamlined, low-risk delivery. The project team maximised re-use of the building’s existing struc-tural and industrial elements to mini-mise material waste, cost and time.

To Halcrow Group Limited, a leading engineering consultancy, the consoli-dation of their existing headquarters with the neighbouring EMI House delivered an upgraded workspace and brand environment, and enhanced capability and spatial flexibility.

These goals made for a complex project, as it required two different buildings to be reconciled whilst MEP infrastructure would be upgraded to support Halcrow’s sustainability goals.

M Moser’s integrated approach was key to delivering Halcrow’s brief. Starting from a stripped-down shell, the project team wove a new MEP infrastructure and floorplan into the buildings, knitting them together seamlessly. The result includes a strik-ing contemporary ground-floor ‘expe-rience area’, a staff café/collaboration area, and open-plan workspaces.

A workplace supporting a collab-orative culture, client service and embodying brand values was the aim when media firm Thomson Reuters replaced four of their previous five office floors in Hong Kong with this space at 3 Garden Road, Central.

Much of the space is occupied by prominently branded and versatile client-facing areas, including both open and enclosed meeting spaces. Some of the latter feature operable walls which enable them to be shrunk or enlarged instantly.

Work areas are optimised for a col-laborative and highly mobile work style, with unassigned seating and a wide range of meeting/work spaces catering to individual staff members’ needs of the moment.

Masan Group’s first office outside Vietnam is a symbol of the firm’s rising international prominence and its deep roots in Asian tradition.

Most of the space is devoted to cre-ating an evocative client experience. A film of water covers two-thirds of the reception’s floor area, atop which floats a conference room on a wooden platform. Painstakingly engineered, the composition refers Masan’s origins along the Mekong River.

Transparent glass with eye-level leather privacy panels was used for all interior partitioning. Furniture was selected to achieve a balance of con-temporary aesthetics and a ‘residen-tial’ or ‘hospitality’ feel that softens the hard edges of the minimalistic architecture.

Spurred on by strong growth, LinkedIn asked M Moser to complement their existing floors in the Empire State Building with an additional new space on the 22nd floor. The aim was to create a highly collaborative, social and branded workplace that used space efficiently.

Prominent features of the completed design include open bench desking, shared open and enclosed spaces for team meetings. The choice of height-adjustable bench desks allows ergonomic flexibility for each employee.

Work-dedicated spaces are comple-mented by a large town hall meeting area, a recreation space, café and communal area for socialising. Graphics and artworks activate the office corridors with an inspiring creative touch.

Multilayered and diverse – virtually a ‘city in a building’ – VMware’s Bangalore office consolidates 3000 formerly widely dispersed staff into a single facility designed to help them work, collaborate and interact effectively.

Like a city, circulation routes and spaces for rest and interaction serve as connective tissues between spaces designed for specific teams and purposes. Work areas on each floor coalesce like neighbourhoods around ‘public squares’ of break-out and meeting spaces.

The centrepiece is a spacious canteen featuring an outdoor terrace, ‘fine dining’ and ‘town hall’ seating, two serveries, and a decorative palette blending high-tech contemporary with touches of Indian cultural motifs.
