2.用自己的话转述，注意改变措词，避免

原句抄袭。

• In modern society it seemed impossible to live without money. For instance, a country needs money to develop its economy and to raise people’s living standards. For a person suffering from poverty or a disease, he has to go hungry or to wait to die. Money is even regarded as a symbol of wealth and status. As a proverb goes, “money makes the mare go.”

• Different people have different attitudes toward money. Some think of money as the most important thing in the world. They may try all means, such as gambling and cheating, to make ,or and more money. They believe that money can bring them everything such as fancy cars, luxurious houses, expensive furniture and beautiful lovers. They take it as their lifelong goal to make money and use money only for their own needs. Some people, however, think that there are things more important than money, such as good health, happiness and achievements. They devote themselves to their careers, and earn money by hard and honest work. They use it to improve their living standards, and also for the benefit of others as well . Compared with the former ones, they may get the true happiness.

2. 使用非谓语动词－－过去分词

表因果关系的 : since, as, because (of), for, so, thus( 这样 ), therefore, as a result( 所以 ), so that,

表条件关系的 : if, as long as,unless, on condition that( 如果 ), or else( 否则 , 不然 )

表特定的顺序关系 : above all, first of all, firstly, first, secondly, the next, finally, in the end,
