Wie hilft KIRIAT YEARIM?

Das Engagement von KIRIAT YEARIM steht au drei Sulen:

* die Untersttzung des Schweizer Kinderdores KIRIAT YEARIM,

* das Angebot von Bildungsprogrammen r die arabische Bevlkerung,

* verschiedene Projekte des Dialogs zwischen den Bevlkerungsgruppen.

Das Schweizer Kinderdor KIRIAT YEARIM au den Hgeln Jerusalems betreibt eine Schule und ein Internat. Hier

werden 150 Kinder in 6 Klassen ganztgig betreut. Die Schler des Dores gehren zur schwchsten Bevlkerungsgruppe

in Israel. Einige stammen aus Haushalten, in denen selbst die grundlegenden materiellen Bedrnisse nicht erllt werden

knnen. Das Kinderdor bietet den Jugendlichen r drei bis sechs Jahre ein neues Zuhause.

Seit 1969 besteht eine enge Zusammenarbeit mit dem Trust o Programmes or early Childhood, Family and Community

Education sowie dessen Leiter Farid Abu Gosh. Der Trust rdert Projekte r die arabische Bevlkerung in Israel, u.a.

Kindergrten in Ramle und im Negev, Tageszentren r Mdchen und ein Mother-to-Mother-Programme. Diese Pro-

gramme sorgen dar, dass Frauen und Jugendliche ihre Zukunt aktiv nach ihren Wnschen gestalten knnen.

Seit 2001 untersttzt KIRIAT YEARIM ausgewhlte Dialogprogramme r einen kulturellen Austausch zwischen der

jdischen und der arabischen Bevlkerung in Schulen. Ziel ist eine riedliche Koexistenz der verschiedenen Kulturen. In

Haia, der grssten mixed city Israels werden regelmssig Sommerlager r 6- bis 12-jhrige jdische und arabische Kinderdurchgehrt. Diese Sommerlager haben inzwischen Modellcharakter r ganz Israel.

Visionen und Plne fr die Zukunft

KIRIAT YEARIM strebt danach, ein Jugenddor zu sein, das im Bereich der Betreuung von gehrdeten Jugendlichen

in Israel hrend ist. Die Zahl gerderter Kinder und Jugendlicher soll weiter steigen. Fr Ehemalige ist ein Zuhause

geplant, in das sie nach dem Schulabschluss zurckkehren knnen. Dieses Zuhause r Ehemalige soll einen sicheren

Haen in der Welt und ein warmes Zuhause in ihrer Freizeit whrend der weiterhrenden Ausbildung bieten. Fr die Rea-

lisierung neuer Lehrplne ist eine Werkstatt r knstlerische Fachrichtungen vorgesehen. Gleichzeitig ist die Erweiterung

der Schreinerei und der Metallbearbeitung geplant.

Anerkennung als gemeinntzige Organisation

KIRIAT YEARIM hat hohe Qualitt, Transparenz und Seriositt zu den Leitlini-

en der Hile gemacht. Die Jahresrechnung wird zweiach revidiert und erllt die

Qualittsanorderungen der in der Schweiz ofziell anerkannten Zertifzierungs-

stelle (ZEWO). Wichtig r die Auswahl der gerderten Projekte sind Nachhaltig-

keit und Wirksamkeit. Das Projektcontrolling erolgt aus der Schweiz. Der Verein

KIRIAT YEARIM Schweizer Kinderdor in Israel vergt ber 14 Regionalko-

mitees in der Schweiz mit 120 ehrenamtlichen Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeitern.

Cape of Good Hope 1861 (May 11): The famous cover from Colesburg to St. Gallen,Switzerland at 9 d. rate for under 1/4 ounce, bearing Perkins Bacon ne margined 1855/631 d. brick red and two examples of the "Woodblock" 4 d. pale bright blue, one slightlydefective, the other with two enormous margins and just touched at base, cancelled in blackand by part Colesburg oval despatch in red. Obverse with oval "PD" and London transit cds(June 26) and Calais transit of the following day; reverse with two aps missing showingColesburg oval, Capetown transit, Paris transit and "Schweiz Bahnpost / Basel-Olten" cds.Despite the imperfections this is an extraordinary rarity with very few combination coverswith Woodblocks known (or indeed covers with more than a single 4 d.) and, the uniqueexample recorded used to Switzerland.Note: "Woodblock" covers overseas are tremendousrarities, with three covers known to the UK, one to France and one to New Zealand.

"MIS-SENT TO/MELBOURNE - VICTORIA"und ovalem "MORE TO PAY 1/8" (handschr. korrigiert) versehen und nach Neuseelandweitergeleitet mit rcks. Ankunftsstp. "LAWRENCE AU 17 80". Da der Brief nichtabgeholt wurde, Blaustift 'unclaimed', via Dunedin (10 Dez.) retourniert, in Brindisi mitital. Kastenstp. "RIFIUTO", beigef. Zeilenstp. "CREDITO ITALIANO CENI L 1.30" undrcks. Nachportomitteilung (entfernt) versehen und bei der Ankunft schliesslich mit 20Rp. Nachporto taxiert, leicht entw. "MAGGIA 19.II.81". Interessante Retoursendung ansandere Ende der Welt und zurck, einige min.
