Staten Island Wetland Park - NY Wetland educational park Social, Cultural and Environmental
The proposed 184.47-acre site is envisioned as an ideal site for the recovery and development of the symbiotic relationship be-tween humans and nature within the context of a historically industrial urban environment. The site is located on the west side of Staten Island overlooking Prall’s Island and New Jersey on the opposite side.

Design Goals and objectives
- Creating a pleasant environment that engage most people from different age and interestingness blends within the surrounded context.-carefully apply restoration strategies to improve the current condition of the site such as :1-Bank stabilization using Bio- engineering method.2- Implement habitat restoration using adaptive management techniques.3-Keep vegetation buffer around the creek and pond (40-50 feet) to reduce local runoff..4- Use of Pytoremediation method to remove contaminants from water4- Use of Pytoremediation method to remove contaminants from water5-Construct a settling pond or a wetland to receive runoff and drainage before it reaches the pond.6-Keep out pollutants. Manage it to attract wildlife. Try to maintain good water quality. Keep out exotic species- Design an optimum circulation system considering the slope studies , taking the visitors for an enjoyable journey within the site and acts as an active connection tool for the different zones and places giving the challenging topography of the proposal.
