I developed this projects in two phases. Phase 1 during AAU’s WNM 605 with Ryan Medeiros where I redesign the layout for the Fillmore Florist website. The second one, during WNM 608 where I developed a dynamic website based on the previously designed layout. The website is developed using MySQL, PHP, HTML 5, CSS 3 and JavaScript.

Adoro le ScrapeAdoro le Scrapei shoes
Adore le Scrape is an iPhone app that intends to allow shoe-loving customers to shop from as many online shoe stores as they like all at once. The app’s purpose is to make online shoe shopping easier and less tedious. Adoro le Scarpe compares the shoes’ prices between stores and allows the user to set their preferences.

This is a very exciting app. I was inspired by the Bay Bridge Lights and wanted to do something that allowed the spectators to be interactive with it. Although the visual and UX design are still in progress, the functionality of this mobile app is thrilling. The App would enable the users to write the messages they would like to send through the Bay Bridge Lights. Before send the messages, the users can view them in the app’s built-in Bridge simulator. The user can control the speed and the animation type. Ideally, City Lights would allow the users to schedule the messages to appear on the bridge.City Lights
With this project, I explored the different ways of transforming an organic form into its inorganic self. The main piece of the project explores the metamorphosis of soft lips into a diamond like shape. Currently, the lips cross an intermediate phase of the metamorphosis. Here, we can feel their sharper edges and its shinny surface, yet the color emphasizes the lips’ warmth and softness.

For Foothill College Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month 2013, I worked with the ASPI committee to develop the event’s concept. The marketing campaign included Banners, Brochures and Posters. I created the illustrations and layouts that accompany all the designs. Additionally, I was responsible for the project’s production.

Team work project. Teammates: Connie Liang, Danny Yiang, Eliot Pessah, Quian Li and Yessel Hinojosa. Research project that culminated with the collection of all the information in a booklet. I proposed the name and redesign the logo after the first draft. I also contributed to the booklet layout design.

Given the nature of AAU’s urban campus, it is difficult for the students to stay around and meet other people in the department outside class. Therefore, as AAU Web Design & New Media student representative I proposed the student event “Coffee Break.” The main purpose of the event is to invite the students to socialize and network at school. The event’s poster design was one of my tasks around “Coffee Break.”

Journey Land aims to be a site that promotes well-known fairy tales with a gender equality twist. The user is required to choose a different plot option on key parts of the story. Even though this Drupal website’s design is in a wireframe state, I was able to implement some great modules to build a simple Userpoints store. On this trial site, the user can buy books using the Equicoins granted to them by signing up. After signing up and buying their first book, the user will collect Equicoins by choosing among the gender-neutral story plots to replace the original story. The books bought are added to the user’s library and they are ready to read. Cinderella’s book has parallax functionality that allowed me to add a bit of animation to the story. Cinderella’s story updates after the user selects the new outcome.
