1 MAI - ZIUA INTERNAIONAL A MUNCII, SRBTORIT...
ROMNETE
Profesorii notri ne-au nvat c, n
majoritatea statelor lumii, n data de 1 Mai se
srbtorete Ziua Internaional a Muncii. Aceasta
are la origine dorina muncitorilor de a reduce ziua
legal de munc la 8 ore. La 1886, muncitorii
din Statele Unite au ctigat, prin micri ample de
strad, dreptul la 8 ore de munc pe zi, fr
reducerea salariului. n 1889, Internaionala
Socialist a decretat 1 Mai drept Zi Internaional a Muncii, n memoria victimelor din timpul
manifestaiei muncitoreti. n timpul Comunismului, i Romnia a adoptat aceast srbtoare, fiind
prilej de manifestri grandioase n cinstea "iubiilor conductori". Mai exact, romnii au ctigat o zi
liber, n care cel ce muncete tot anul trebuie s se odihneasc. Prinii mi-au povestit cum, n regimul
comunist, autoritile organizau manifestaii grandioase pe marile bulevarde. Tata i mama erau
uteciti. i defilau, sub razele arztoare ale soarelui, n inut festiv, scandnd lozinci i purtnd
pancarde uriae, aducnd urale "conductorului iubit". Iar i iar, ore-n ir, pn ieea "bine la montaj",
s poat fi dat filmarea pe postul naional de televiziune, s-avem, i noi, romnii, cu ce s ne mndrim:
"Triasc Nicolae Ceauescu, cel mai iubit fiu al poporului!"
Azi... de 1 Mai au liber doar bugetarii, lucrtorii la stat. Patronii nu-i permit "luxul" de a pierde
din profit innd porile ncuiate. Romnul, ns, nu se las cu una, cu dou. Experiena anilor trecui ne
arat c omu' i face timp i pentru a srbtori. Orice prilej e bun pentru a servi cte un mic i o bere,
n funcie de bugetul familiei.
Cei mai pretenioi dar i... "la pung groi", plnuiesc, deja, mini-vacane la munte ori la mare, c
tot coincide cu nceperea sezonului estival. Hotelierii profit, i ei, la maximum, i lanseaz oferte cu
pre "de criz" pentru mini-
vacane. Cel puin aa a fost anul
trecut.
Anul acesta, din pcate -sau din
fericire- depinde de locul de munc
al fiecruia, ziua de 1 mai "pic"...

oricum! Poft bun la mici, sau ...

THE 1ST OF MAY - INTERNATIONAL LABOUR
DAY, CELEBRATED ... ROMANIAN STYLE
Our teachers taught us that in most countries
on the 1st of May International Labor Day is
celebrated. This arises from the desire of workers
to reduce the legal working day to 8 hours. In
1886, U.S. workers have won by large riots in the
street, the right to 8 hours per day without
reducing pay. In 1889, the Socialist International
decreed the 1st of May as International Labor Day, in memory of the victims during the work rallies.
During Communism, Romania has adopted this celebration as an occasion for grand events honoring
our "beloved leader". More specifically, the Romanians have won a holiday, which those who work all
year can rest. Parents have told me how in the communist regime, the authorities organized great
parades on big boulevards. My father and mother were members of the Communist Youth Union (CYU
s) and they used to parade under the burning rays of the sun, dressed in festive clothes, chanting slogans
and carrying huge banners, bringing cheers to our "beloved leader". Again and again, hour-in line, until
they had a good footage for editing, images that can be seen on national television, so that, we,
Romanians, could have something to be proud of: " Long live Nicolae Ceausescu, the most beloved son
of the people! "Today ... on the 1st of May only the state employees have the day off. Employers can not
afford the "luxury" of losing profit keeping gates locked. The Romanians, however, do not give up easily.
The experience of the past shows that man takes his time to celebrate too. Any occasion is good to have a
beer and a meat rolls (a sausage shaped hamburger, grilled), depending on the family budget.
The most pretentious and ... "rolling in dough" are planning already a mini-vacation in the
mountains or at the sea, because this also coincides with the beginning of the summer season. Hotel
managers take a maximum
advantage too and they launch
"crisis price" offers for mini-
vacations. At least that was what
they did last year. This year,
unfortunately, or fortunately,
depends on the workplace of each,
the 1st of May falls on a Sunday
nonetheless. It's free anyway!

Patele reprezint una dintre cele mai impor-tante srbtori anuale cretine, care comemoreaz evenimentul fundamental al cretinismului lui Iisus Hristos,considerat Fiul lui Dumnezeu n religiile cretine, n a treia zi dup rstignirea Sa din Vinerea Mare. Data de nceput a Patelui marcheaz nceputul anului ecleziastic cretin. Exist unele culte cretine care nu srbtoresc Patele. Data celebrrii Patelui are la baz dou fenomene astronomice: echinociul de primvar i micarea de rotaie a Lunii n jurul Pmntului. Astfel, Patelese serbeaz n duminica imediat urmtoare primei luni pline dup echinociul deprimvar. Patele cretin are o durat de 40 de zile, cuprinse ntre srbtoarea nvierii Domnului (prima duminic de Pati) i srbtoarea nlarii Domnului, care se celebreaz la 40 de zile de la nviere, ntr-o zi de joi. Primele 3 din cele 40 de zile pascale sunt zile de mare srbtoare. In tot acest timp, crestinii se salut unul pe altul cu Hristos a nviat! i rspund cu Adevrat a nviat! Srbtoarea Patilor este precedat de o lung perioad de post, n care se comemoreaz evenimentele premergtoare nvierii Domnului. Ultima sptmn din Postul Mare, numit Sptmna Patimilor, ncepe n Duminica Floriilor, cnd se srbtorete intrarea lui Isus Cristos n Ierusalim, i se sfrete n Smbta Mare. Este sptmna n care sunt comemorate patimile lui Iisus, rstignirea i moartea Sa din Vinerea Mare. Cel mai rspndit obicei cretin de Pati este vopsirea de ou roii, a cror prezen este obligatorie pe masa de Pati, dei n prezent se vopsesc ou i de alte culori (verzi, albastre, galbene etc.). n folclorul romnesc exist mai multe legende cretine care explic de ce se nroesc ou de Pati i de ce ele au devenit simbolul srbatorii nvierii Domnului.Una dintre ele relateaz c Maica Domnului, care venise s-i plng fiul rstignit, a aezat coul cu ou lng cruce i acestea au fost nroite de sngele care picura din rnile lui Iisus. Cretinii ortodoci n noaptea de nviere merg la biseric s ia lumin, (o lumnare aprins pe care o duc acas pentru sntate i noroc. Cu ocazia srbtorilor Pascale gospodinele prepar i alte mncruri tradiionale: friptur de miel, pasc, cozonac, drob.Unele obiceiuri asociate acestei srbtori, cum ar fi iepuraul de Pati sau cutarea oulor colorate s-au rspndit i printre necretini. Anumite culte cretine nu srbtoresc Patele, acestea sunt: Martorii lui Iehova,Biserica Mormon, Adventitii de Ziua a aptea etc.Vlad Barblat

Easter is one of the most important annual Christian holidays, which commemorates the fundamental event of Christianity of Jesus Christ, Son of God in Christian religions, on the third day after his crucifixion on Good Friday. Easter marks the start date of early Christian ecclesiastical. There are some Christian cults that do not celebrate Easter. The calculation for Easter Easter celebration date is based on two astronomical phenomena: the vernal equinox and the rotation of the Moon around the Earth.
