Start planning now...Get an extraordinary committee together ... They should know your club’s story and be inspiring.

There’s plenty to do before February 23rd

Supply media releases to: Local and major newspapers TV and radio stations Web – relevant websites you can promote to (including your Club’s

web site of course!) Supply photos and a great story Invite media to pre-event promo or the event itself

Shout it out; more voices = great volume! Inform everyone in your club and encourage them to tell others

about your message.

Start planning now...

Put a fabulous group together to run the event! Give yourselves a budget. Remember: if it’s important, you need to measure it. Tell everyone that you’re doing something special for

February 23rd – now! Issue a save the date card. Drip feed the enthusiasm regularly, particularly before

and after Christmas. Think of this as your special birthday celebration. Let

everyone know you’re going to be having the best party and it’s not to be missed.
