The BioInnovation Corridor is an initiative, in the Brunei-Muara District, led by the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources (MIPR) of The Government of Brunei Darussalam.

The Halal Industry Innovation Centre (HIIC), has been established to promote the development of Halal Certi�ed Industries in Brunei Darussalam.

生物创新走廊位于文莱穆阿拉区，由文莱工业和初级资源部(MIPR)牵头的项目。

为促进文莱清真认证产业的发展，文莱还特别成立了专职机构「文莱清真产业创新中心(HIIC)」去负责此项 目的工作。「生物创新走廊」目的在推动文莱清真认证产业。

The BioInnovation Corridor intends to:

● develop an internationally renowned Halal-themed industry park as part of the wider economic diversi�cation strategy;

● accommodate research and innovative technology applications;

● build on and support the development of the Brunei Halal brand;

● create a lively and mixed use environment; ● generation of employment opportunities.

The BioInnovation Corridor has excellent access to high quality infrastructure with dedicated access to the Tungku Link highway. Traveling time to the Brunei International Airport (BWN) is no more than 10 minutes and the Muara Container Port is no more than 30 minutes.

「生物创新走廊」有极为优越的基础建设条件，项目所在地专门开辟了一条道路通往东古(Tungku)高速公路，距离文莱国际机场(BWN)仅10分钟车程，距离穆阿拉(Muara)货柜港口仅30分钟车程。

The BioInnovation Corridor intends to provide approximatley 30 % of land would be earmarked for industrial usage.

25 % of the land would be allocated for green space. A major botanical garden is planned to be located within the BioInnovation Corridor.

Another signi�cant feature is the Research & Development facilities, where in particular, the headquarters of the Halal Industry Innovation Centre (HIIC) would be the focal point.

Piped water is provided by the Department of Water Services, and sewerage is provided by the Department of Drainage and Sewerage.

The Drinking Water Quality Guideline (1993) in Brunei Darussalam follows the guideline set by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
