a. Semakin besar ukuran diameter tiang pancang maka semakin dangkal kedalaman yang dibutuhkan untuk menahan beban yang sama
b. Dengan kebutuhan P ijin 100 t memakai tiang pancang bulat ukuran diameter 60 cm, maka kedalaman minimal yang harus dipenuhi adalah 19,5 m untuk mampu menahan P ijin.

Yang terdiri dari unsure perlawanan tanah di ujung tiang dan lekatan ( friction ) disepanjanh tiang.Unsur perlawanan tanah di ujung tiang dirumuskan sebagai berikut :
