The cover picture shows the enantiomers of the exo (front)and endo (back) isoxazolidines obtained from the box-cata-lysed 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition between 3-acryloyl-1,3-oxaz-olidin-2-one and diphenylnitrone. The last and unknown exoisomer was selectively obtained (de � 80 %; ee � 99 %) forthe first time by using the appropriate disubstituted box andNiII as asymmetric catalyst, and its absolute configuration isreported in the article by G. Desimoni et al. on p. 1020ff.The view over the cross yards of the Old University of Paviais the backdrop for the schematic representation of the fourpossible stereoisomers selectively obtained by using box-based asymmetric catalysts.
