Explanation Throughout my visual I feel that the message I am trying to
portray is evident. The war posters would have been a form of propaganda that young men would have seen before they went to battle. This is what the images of war looked like while these men were safe at home, this is what they believed they would experience when thrust onto the front line. However this was seldom the case, these men quickly realized the true perils of war and what the realities of intense combat were. If the posters portrayed the real scenes of battle they might look something like the black and white images in my project. I feel the contrast between both sets of images captures the true irony as well as the tragic sarcasm that comes forth upon reading the poem we were assigned.
