Precipitation Hardening Steel- Built to last
Laxcon specializes into the production of 15-5 steels (also known as 1.4542 and AISI 630).
The precipitation hardening (PH) stainless steel Grade is a family of corrosion
resistant alloys that provide hardness upto three or four times that of
an austenitic stainless steel such as type 304 or type 316.
They are used in the oil and gas, nuclear and aerospace industries where a
combination of high strength, corrosion resistance and a low but acceptable
degree of toughness is required. Precipitation hardening is achieved by adding
copper, molybdenum, aluminium and titanium either individually or incombination.
Our entire product range is available in this grade on request.
Our hardening steel material
comes with a slew of features :
• High Tensile Strength,
corrision resistance and Toughness
• High Hardness up to 41 HRC
• Ideal for component machining
with a high resistance to oxidation
• Idea for Forging and
Welding applications
Industry Applications
• Oil, Gas, Power, Offshore, Chemical,
• Nuclear and Food Industry
• Aerospace, Pulp and Paper Industry
• High Pressure Pump and
Valves Components
• Measuring and Control techniques
• Mechanical Components
INDUSTRY APPLICATIONS
• Structural Design Components
• Storage and Exchange Equipment

Duplex Steels
Duplex stainless steels are called “duplex” because they have a two-phase microstructure consisting
of grains of ferritic and austenitic stainless steel. This structure provides a unique set of benefits

Strength
Duplex stainless steels are
about twice as strong as regular
austenitic or ferritic stainless
steel.
Corrosion resistance
As with all stainless steels, corrosion resistance
depends mostly on the composition of the
stainless steel. The composition of this steel
makes it better at resisting corrision.
Toughness and ductility
Duplex stainless steel has
significantly better toughness
and ductility than ferritic grades.
Over the years, we have been awarded and certified by several Government
bodies, associations and companies around the world who vouch for
our dedication, perfection and perseverance.
