Der Begriff „STRESS“ wurde schon 1936
von Hans Selye geprägt:
„Stress“ bezeichnet
- zum einen durch spezifische äußere Reize
(Stressoren) hervorgerufene psychische
und physische Reaktionen
- und zum anderen die dadurch entstehende
körperliche und geistige Belastung.
„Neurostress“ beinhaltet die neuroendokrinen
Auswirkungen von Stress.

Patientin: 60 J
Daher seit kurzem erneut 10 mg Cipralex (+ HRT), was die
Depressivität besserte, nicht jedoch die Ängste und Selbstzweifel.

Sternberg. Nat Rev Immunol

Glucocorticoids bind to
glucocorticoid receptors in the
cytosol, which displaces heat-shock
protein 90 (HSP90) and allows
receptor dimerization, movement
into the nucleus and binding of the
glucocorticoid– glucocorticoid-
receptor complex to DNA. This leads
to transcription and translation of
proteins, including inhibitor of
nuclear factor-κB (IκB). IκB then
sequesters NF-κB, preventing it from
activating transcription of pro-
inflammatory cytokines. In addition,
the glucocorticoid–glucocorticoid-
receptor complex can interact with
NF-κB directly to suppress cytokine
production. Noradrenaline binding to
β-adrenergic receptors at the cell
surface induces cyclic AMP (cAMP)
and protein kinase A (PKA)
activation, which inhibits cytokine
production through inhibition of NF-
κB. Acetylcholine binds to nicotinic
cholinergic cell-surface receptors
and inhibits cytokine production
again through inhibition of NF-κB.
TLR, Toll-like receptor.

Stress-induced inflammasome priming
Exposure to stress activates
danger-associated molecular
pattern-pattern recognition
receptor (DAMP-PRR) (i.e.,
high mobility group box 1
protein-receptor for advanced
glycation end products
HMGB1-RAGE]) and
downstream NF-kB signaling to
increase transcription of
proinflammatory interleukin-1b
(IL-1b), as well as further
increase the expression of
MGB1. Microglial response to
stress also requires activation
of P2X7 receptors, for example
via release of ATP, and
activation of the NLRP3
inflammasome, which then
stimulates the processing of
procaspase 1 to caspase 1,
which in turn cleaves pro–IL-1b
to IL-1b for release.
•Evidence of persistent
microglial MGB1-RAGE
(DAMP receptors) expression
that increases vulnerability to
depressive-like behaviors long
after chronic stress exposure.

Effects of inflammation on monoamine metabolism
Inflammation leads to induction of indoleamine-2,3-dioxygenase (IDO), guanosine-triphosphate-cyclohydrolase- 1 (GTP-CH1) and
inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS). GTP-CH1 produces 7,8-dihydroneopterin-triphosphate (NH2PPP) that is normally used for the
production of tetrahydrobiopterin, the cofactor of the enzymatic reactions that lead to the biosynthesis of serotonin, dopamine
and noradrenalin:.

From inflammation to sickness, Somatization and depressionwhen the immune system subjugates the brain
1MT = 1-Methyltryptophan-IDO-InhibitorMinocyclin = potent antiinflammatorisch im ZNS
I propose that somatization might be nothing else than the
outward manifestation of sensitization of the brain cytokine
system that is normally activated in response to activation
of the innate immune system and mediates the subjective,
behavioral and physiological components of sickness.
