No. 89
Theme: “LIVE THE ANIMO THROUGH FAITH, SERVICE AND COMMUNION”
Pagbasa: San Lukas 13:10-13
Amen.

Lasallian Core Value: COMMUNION
Graduate Attribute: Compassionate
In taking on the name of Brother, De La Salle espoused that the relationship between teacher and student was one of fraternal care. Authentic love for students, in De La Salle’s mind, was the ultimate basis for effective teaching. Through the Christian Schools, young people experienced an affection and respect not commonly bestowed on the young by the general society of that time. De La Salle spoke often of how the Brother was to relate to his student: “By love and patience, win over the hearts of those whom you teach”. In yet another passage he invites the teacher to see in the young, the image of Jesus: “You should cultivate a very special tenderness for them and procure their spiritual welfare as far as you will be able, considering them as member of Jesus Christ and his well-beloved. (Meditations)
The Lasallian is thus called upon to be compassionate. That is to say, the Lasallian is to mirror in his attitudes and actions his deep love for others, considering them to be his brothers and sisters.
LA SALLE GREEN HILLS VISION-MISSION
La Salle Green Hills is a Lasallian Catholic educational
institution that is internationally recognized, learner-
centered, and service-oriented in pursuit of social
transformation.
