E ergy C sumptiThis section of the Evaluation Report contains
a table and a pie chart.
The tables leftm st c lum lists energy s urces by percentage,
plus their c l r c des used in the pie chart.
The tw Yearly t tal c lumns list the magnitude [e.g. kWh/year]
and price [currency/year] feach energy s urce c nsumed in ne year. The tw Yearly specific c lumns c ntain a similar list f values pr jected t a unit
area f the building [e.g. kWh/m2, year and currency/m2, year].
The Energy C nsumpti n pie chart displays the percentage distributi n f used
energy s urces graphically. Bel w the pie chart, the tw m st imp rtant numeric

Monthly Energy BalanceThe Monthly EnergyBalance bar chart is a graphical displayof the amount ofenergy the
building emits (top part of chart), as well as the buildings Supplied
energy: the amount ofenergy it absorbs from theenvironment andits own internal heat sources (bottom part of chart), by month. The
Emitted energy and Supplied energy bars must beequal every
month. The vertical axis of the chart shows anenergy scale. Along
the horizontal axis, the twelve months of the year are shown.
To the right of the diagram, theenergy flows that make up the bars of the chart are listed (see
Types of Energy Supply and Emission innext slide). Thenumber and typeof theseenergy
balance components that appear on a particular Energy Evaluation Report depends on the
data entered for theevaluated buildings MEP systems.

Types of Energy Supply and Emission
EcoDesigner monitors and displays thefollowing energy balance factors, with the

It may be helpful to print out the Energy Balance
Factors Table above. Use this sheet to check off the
factors for which you haveentered data for your
buildings MEP systems. This gives you an at-a-glance
pictureof the relevant energy flows, and their
components, that make up the projects energy
balance. For theexample: in the project (anofficebuilding in Oslo) that was evaluated in the Energy Evaluation Report
section, the following MEP settings were applied to generate the
example report: Heating type: District, Heating fuel: 100% Natural gas
Heating target: Heating only, Cooling type: Heat pump, Ventilation
type: Mechanical / Supply and exhaust, Hot water generation fuel:
100% Electricity, Interior Lighting / Fitting type: Compact fluorescent
Heat pump: on, Heat pump capacity: 80 kW, Target: Fresh air heating

Function Buttons of the Evaluation ReportAt the bottom of the Evaluation Report:
Back to EcoDesigner takes you back to the EcoDesigner
dialog box, allowing you to further adjust the building data.
The Close buttonexits EcoDesigner without
saving the Evaluation Report. Save as PDF lets you specify a location to which to
save the Evaluation Report in PDF format.
