Indian Festival in Toulouse - April 2013

Toulouse, innovative metropolitan city of France, is at the heart of the most dynamicregion of our country. Besides being the second academic city of France, Toulouse has goteconomical, cultural as well as academic links to the whole world. India with its very ancientculture of arts and sciences, is considered to be a major contributor in the 21st century world, and would surely become our major partner.

The richness and uniqueness of both the cultures are such that the ignorance of the otherculture can be very hard to overcome. Some persistent clichs can completely hide the reality. Many analysts agree to say that India would be a key player of tomorrow's world.

Our association is thus organizing an Indian festival SAISON INDIENNE in Toulouse inorder to boost, encourage and sustain the mutual knowledge between our region and the vastIndian country. Hopefully this would be a first step to spread the festival at the Midi-Pyrnesregion level.

Indian Cinema projection will be core part of our program from Sunday 14 April (TamilNew Year day) to Saturday 20 April. Conferences, Art exhibitions and live programs for

promoting cultural exchange are also part of our festival composition which will be held throughthe month of April.
