Résumé
Roméo Montaigu and Juliette Capulet are in love. Unfortunately, their two véronaise families hate each other . So, shorty after their meeting at a masked
ball, they ask Frère Laurent to marry them secretly, and he accepts.But the cousin of Juliette, Tybalt, fights Romeo in duel.
The latter refuses, and is replaced by his friend Mercutio, who dies. Romeo swears to avenge him, and having
killed Tybalt, he is banished from the city .Juliette's father is then decided to marry his daughter to the count of
Paris. Juliette seeks refuge at Frère Laurent's, who gives her a potion which will last forty hours. After getting the promise of the churchman to warn Romeo of the trick,
Juliette swallows the drink.
Unfortunately, Romeo does not receive the news in time, and mad with grief, goes to the tomb of his
beloved to die too . Juliette then awakes and noticing the death of her young husband, seizes his dagger and
joins him in the Other World.
