Blossom HistoryBlossom Time is a fun celebration that is a

unique aspect of our local community’s history. In 1962, the Blossom Time parade route was turned around so that the parade started at the high school and ended at Triangle Park.

Blossom History (Continued) During Blossom Time, there are many activities such as an old-time baseball game and many fun rides. Blossom Time was originally called “Chagrin Valley Week, When it is Blossom Time in The Valley “ until 1938. Blossom Time is important to our community as it is a big part of Chagrin Falls History.

Blossom Time Opinion In my opinion the best part about Blossom Time are the rides. I think the rides are a lot of fun because they go fast. Some rides that I like are the Super Loop,Trabant, Salt and pepper shaker and the Merry Go Round. It`s like getting in a car that goes all different directions.That is why I think Its the best part about Blossom Time.

Blossom Time Memory My favorite Blossom Time memory is when I went to

the Blossom Time parade. I got a football, a plant and LOTS of candy. My sister and brother were on the fire truck so I was collecting candy for all 3 of us. After the parade my famly went to a party and after an hour or so we went home. That evening we went to another party it was one fun day!

In my opinion, the best part about Blossom Time is the Preschool Graduation. It’s fun because you get a free pass for the kiddie rides. The Preschoolers get prizes for being in school! The teachers bring cake and they have a party in the tents! That is why the Preschool Graduation is the best part of Blossom Time in my opinion.

Friday: Gurney has the day off to enjoy Blossom without the big kids.Blossom spends its first full day.

Saturday: The first Parade is held.The big kids come out of school.Blossom is packed.

Sunday: The second parade is held.Blossom starts clearing out.

Memorial Day

On Memorial Day there is a parade to honor the those that have fought for our country. The Girl Scouts, the Cub Scouts and others march for an hour down South Franklin Street to the Evergreen Hill Cemetery. After three ceremonies, they march back and the Boy Scouts raise the flag from half mast to full mast to end the Memorial Day parade.
