Bruce Nauman

1941-

出身地：アメリカ、インディアナ州活動拠点：アメリカ、ニューメキシコ州　アメリカのコンセプチュアルアー

ティスト。 1966年にカリフォルニア

大学デービス校にてMFAを取得するま

で、美術・数学・物理などを専攻。

　この間に絵画製作からは離れ、彫刻

やパフォーマンスアート、映像作品、

インスタレーション、ホログラムアー

トなどを中心に製作を始める。主な

テーマは「存在」と「外部」について

である。

　 1980年代以降、彼の作品は、動物や

人間の身体の一部を取り込んだイメー

ジによって心理的・物理的により大き

な混乱を与えることに成功している。
