What is Edcamp?

Edcamp is participant driven professional development.

No keynote, no expensive speakers, space is donated

Participants typically describe themselves as...

Networking and conversations are vital to Edcamp.

But what does it look like?

First, participants choose what topics they want to discuss.

Next people sign up for sessions.

Sessions are chosen by participant need.

The day focuses on conversations.

Some sessions make it onto the full schedule, some don't.

The final schedule is decided on for the day. 

What happens in the sessions themselves?

Presentations are limited in length to 20 minutes.

Some sessions look more like working groups than workshops.

Other sessions break into smaller groups.

People are free to "vote with their feet."

The day wraps up with a whole group discussion.

But people are free to continue their discussions...
