Established in 2006 as a partnership between Beijing Normal University and the University of Oklahoma, OUCI became the first Confucius Institute in the Southern U.S.

To dedicate to the promotion and development of Chinese language education, and cultural and business exchange with the People’s Republic of China. It seeks to facilitate engagement with China in ways that strengthen the understanding, opportunities and bonds between the people of the south central United States and the people of China.

24 high schools 11 middle schools 11 elementary schools

Over 8,000 students in Oklahoma study Chinese 1-5 and AP Chinese

2. Chinese Teacher Certification In October 2008, Oklahoma starts to issue full Chinese Teacher Certification 1 of only 7 states nationwide that can certify Chinese teachers

总结:通过资源优化整合 ,俄州 K-16 汉语教学与中华文 化传播目前已基本实现了一条龙的服务体系。

Through resource integration, Oklahoma has streamlined our service for K-16 Chinese language and culture education. We are building the pipeline.

希望:通过此次大会能向兄弟孔院学习更多的、宝贵的 办学经验共同携手发挥孔院品牌效应,把孔子学院办出特 色并天长地久 。

We wish to learn much more from other sister CIs at this conference, to effectively use CI brand and to work together to build a better, stronger and sustainable CI in the future.
