It feels like everyone else knows stuff I don’t. I can’t even look for a job on job match. I even struggle with the screens in the job centre. IT makes me nervous and I worry that people are judging me. I feel ashamed.

Description: This badge is issued to individuals who have completed specific elements of London CLC’s Digital Skills curriculum relating to privacy and security.

Criteria: To earn this badge, individuals must:

➔ Set appropriate security settings and parental controls

➔ Respect the privacy of others➔ Differentiate between secure and insecure websites

Evidence: (short video/audio clip of the badge earner explaining what they’ve done / how they meet the criteria)

Explanation: This is a ‘stealth’ badge, unlocked for those who complete activities that cover three specific skill descriptors: A1, B4, C4. It could be used to scaffold towards the ‘Digitally Empowered’ badge.

Digital Problem Solver

Description: This badge is issued to individuals who have completed specific elements of London CLC’s Digital Skills curriculum relating to problem-solving.

Criteria: To earn this badge, individuals must:

➔ Find appropriate online tutorials to solve a particular problem

➔ Request and act on feedback from other internet users

➔ Compare information, support, and services available online

Evidence: (short video/audio clip of the badge earner explaining what they’ve done / how they meet the criteria)
