What is this land? Once the night eats up the day. Then the day is so long that swallows the night. They both pass away the same - when a stranger rests, a local works hard. What is this land? Can people only be slaves here? And who will collect this pain? That would come love and ends this torture. What is this land? where the compassion is in danger, What is this land? where the freedom is digged in the ground, Where is the justice, where is the peace, Where should the troubled look for justice What is this land, compassion is in rust here in rust is shame heartless chest I could run from here right now but something is keeping me from doing from this. What is this land, what can hold me and how is it doing that, don't know It doesn't cover or feed me but it still drags me along with it What is this land, can I understand it What is this land, can I be without it What is this land, how could it leave it's children without their mothers What is this land? There's no mountains, only forests and swamps. But the people here are full of magic and their songs are strange. What is the land? 12. How do we know the tunes? Modern folk music Italian diatonic accordion (harmonica) used to play tunes that are too difficult to play with Estonian type of harmonica Guitar has gained an important role in the modern folk music Kadri G Laube and Karl Laanekask 14. Now, my lovely violin melody is more than 1 year old and it has also a title, but again... not really common one. With this tune happened a funny thing. I made the tune for my folk-band Punt, last year, but I understood the meaning of the tune this year strange, how much time this tune needed. It was a combination of silliness and talent. Last year the melody just popped into my head, but this year it showed it's real meaning. So, I will try to describe it here, for the first time. "10th game" is combination of two words - 10th" and "game". The reason is that this tune reflects the moments from by 10th grade in Tartu. For me the word "Game has a really deep meaning, but you can create your own one. Imagine different games that people play. Games that children play, games that adults play, games that politicians play, games that life plays etc. You can also try to guess what I exactly thought, but I think that it is easier to create your own "game". Good luck to you! Post from www.valevlaube.era.ee, 25.07.2012 15. Thank [email protected] www.valevlaube.era.ee
